G4: "Yes the rumored "paid subscription service" for Call of Duty has been confirmed, and it's not quite what we were expecting. Of course, The Sess had plenty to say on the subject, so check out the new Sessler's Soapbox for his take on Call of Duty Elite.."
It seems it was long time ago. A bunch of friends spending hours on end playing RPG games, sitting around the table with the box of cold pizza. Excited about the story, listening to the Game Master, they were completely engaged in the worlds only visible to them and their imaginations.
The GM is the programmer, and in MMOs and co-ops, you can play with others. If you want to ONLY use your imagination for the visuals, read a book.
Scrawl: "Looks like we know how that new Compile Heart countdown is going to end. The latest issue of Famitsu has confirmed that Agarest Senki 2, known as Record of Agarest War 2 in the US, is Compile Heart’s newest title."
1) Hope they put it on disc this time.
2) Hope this is a positive for Neptune coming over as well.
Is this a half decent SRPG, porn aside, cause if it is, i might just decide to go and buy it for the 360.
This is not the first time that Bless Online receives a server merge in Korea. An announcement was made on the official Korean site.
Bless must be an amazing game to be on all these platforms (according to the tags): iPad iPhone Nintendo DS PC PS Vita PS2 PS3 PS4 PSP Wii Wii U Xbox Xbox 360 Xbox One
Paying isn't always better. I get the EXACT same experience that I get on XBL on PSN.
After reading more into CoD Elite I see that it isn't such a bad thing. All the stat tracking and clans are free. To compete for stuff and get the map packs for "free" requires a subscription, which makes sense.
There'll probably be guns and perks that release later that'll require a CoD Elite subscription when that happens is probably when most of the sheep will start paying for it.
Paying to possibly win prizes is a waste of time since the only ones who will win will be those kids who play 24/7. Normal people will NEVER win these prizes.
Thus I'm liking all the detailed stat tracking Elite is going to offer, but I will NEVER pay for anything that it offers.
I am just going to say this, (disagree all you want).
Stop calling people sheep, they enjoy something, let them enjoy it. (I do not plan on subscribing to Elite, btw). aka Stop liking what I don't like.
Not everyone can afford to buy a PC good enough for gaming and would prefer to stay with a platform that everyone can afford. It would be very hard for me to try and convince someone to buy a PC to see if they would like it. It is mush easier and cheaper to test out the console market than it is the PC. Last but not least, most gamers already have a 360 or ps3, I can't count how many times I have met people and got their tags and met online (xbl or psn) to play.
Off topic so get rid of it if you must. Some people just need to take a look at the other side before making comments like calling people sheep.
It's funny that this is a video report on Call of Duty Elite but the first think people focus on is that of the XBL reference in the report.
As for the liking the Elite status for the tracking portion of it. Well Bungie offers that for free on their site for Reach and charges extra only for those that wish to upgrade their storage for extra media storage and access to video conversion. Wish that more companies would look at Bungie as an example.
"working out well for all involved"? Oh Sessler, you naive person, you. This doesn't mean that SP and MP will suddenly become separate entities. If fact, look what game series is treading these waters; Call of Duty - the series that's been spitting out short campaigns packaged with glitch-tastic multiplayer play for a long while.
They're STILL going to have you pay for a short campaign with a MP that you either don't have access to or limited access to (Including things as basic as MATCHMAKING). You finish the short campaign, want more, and the sheeple pay you even MORE money to get that content.
This means fatter wallets for Activision CEOs and even more strain on gamers. Activision is NOT going to have its studios "waste" more time on fixing things when the sheeple will pay for the "extra" features that were free in previous titles and free in several other game series.
Whose side are you on, Sessler, that you would spin this so hard and nonsensically? Obviously not the gamers'
