Gearbox sent a severed head around to some journalists recently as a publicity stunt. I'd say there's about a 90% chance it's going to make an appearance. Gearbox has 3 things on their plate atm - DNF, aliens and borderlands 2.

DNF is shipping, and all they've said about bl2 is "yeah we'll do it at some point, we love the game and we wanna go back there, definitely."

So it's pretty much aliens or broke.

This was previewed in OPM UK about 2 yrs ago and sounded and looked fantastic then. Not to mention it's from one of the most under rated studios but brilliant studios around.

Just the idea of a L4D style (but more serious) game in the Alien universe sounds amazing. Welding the door of a room closed whilst your marine buddies pulse rifles are spraying everywhere in panic. And then an Alien drops from the ceiling causing more panic and pulse rifle fire. Bam, pull out the SMART and tear those bastards apart.

Or something.

The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.

The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.

I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.
