Creator of The Sims, Will Wright, has revealed that he expected there to be a “much bigger backlash” when the 2000 game was released, and with it came the chance for sims to engage in homosexual relationships.
A voice actor for The Sims spoke about his experiences doing voice work for the game's fictional Simlish language, and how there was no dictionary for them

If I recall there wasn't really much in the way of risque scenes at all in the Sims regardless of which gender your character preferred, so it's not too surprising that it went unnoticed.
It partly went unnoticed as it was up to the user to gay it up so to speak not the sims. So only those who tried it did it and those who tried obviously didn't care about it.
Gay or Straight the Sims are clever .......... but........ I wish they didn't look like dolls in doll world . Imagine a total make over with stunning graphics . the likes of Uncharted.
They should call fox news, they'll get the reception they want then :).
