Arma 3 is coming! In between all ofthe new Arma 3 info and shiny, shiny screenshots, Bohemia also released the system requirements for the game. Be warned, they’re pretty high. It looks like some of us are going to have to upgrade if we’re going to run the military sim when it’s released in summer 2012.

It was, in fact, a video of gameplay from Arma 3, a military simulation title made by Czech studio Bohemia Interactive.
This is far from the first time the game has been used to fake footage of warzones. In the past, Arma 3 has been used to spoof videos of conflicts in Afghanistan and Syria, as well as military action between Israel and Palestine. It’s even been used to fake videos of a fictional war between India and Pakistan. This isn’t even the first time that footage of the Ukrainian war has actually turned out to be Arma 3 footage."
When these videos make their way into mainstream news it just shows me how incompetent these networks are. You could blame YouTubers, click bait titles, you could try to do something about it as the dev, but these are huge news networks with a lot of money poured into em and hundreds of employees. Perhaps if they weren't so set on being first they'd ensure that they aren't putting out fake footage as often as they do.

I'm almost wanna say screw BF3 (I said almost) Give me Arma 3 NOW! Next Sunday while I'm playing Arma II with my friends I'll be dreaming about Arma 3 for sure.
Those are "ESTIMATED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS" as stated by the fact sheet and not set in stone. They still can change (and probably will) till release (which is more than a year away)
it better look freaking better than bf3....the last arma looked mediocre at best, honestly just a bit above call of duty 6 on pc , yes, i owned it, yes my pc had it completely maxed in 1920x1080p(it ran at only 50 fps which pissed me off....i like 60..)

Its about time developers took PC gaming forward with better support for multi core processors. I'll be buying this game for sure but as FasterThanFTL says I hope they work on the animation as it is really poor, also the voice acting. I think about the very first mission and shudder where you sit in the helicopter and have that ridiculous conversation with a squad member whose voice is really disjointed with poor character acting and zero lip syncing. I know its a military sim but just do that and give me a briefing page then straight into the mission and ditch the cutscenes if you're not going to bother putting any work into them.
