Sound effects, voice acting, and most importantly, a musical score; these are the key components of a game’s audio fidelity. All of these elements must combine well to create the auditory portion of a game and failing to do so successfully can make or break certain titles. Personally, it’s the soundtrack, or musical score, that carries the emotion of a game and allows it to surface, through a cacophony of highs and lows, wailing riffs or orchestral melodies. A game that has a great score is well on it’s way to getting a great score, so to speak.
Today though, I’m here to discuss one standout series in terms of emotional soundtracks; Final Fantasy.
Gary Green said: We’re finding ourselves in a similar position with the Pixel Remaster edition of Final Fantasy IV as we were with Final Fantasy III since, once again, we’ve received a slightly upscaled, more vibrant port of the original game when there’s already an expanded 3D remake available. As such, we’re playing a game which, even after its long-awaited release, still lives very much in the shadow of its remake.
If only they didn't screw ps4 owners over with a physical release. I'd have ran through this in a heartbeat.
The first one I played, it was the one that made me fall in love with JRPGs and is still my favorite to this day. A masterpiece
Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.

ffx da best hands down!!!!!!!
ok...
Yeah FF has an incredibly good soundtrack. Also check out the Lost Odyssey (aka ff13.....) soundtrack. And while I'm here, I'll defend the fact that ff12 is a great rpg in its own right (though it doesn't have Uematsu's music), probably more by accident than on purpose though.
Anyway, the most important develpers from ff1-ff10 make up the Mistwalker team (though M$ have basically bought them failure like they do to so many devs). Square are a completely different developer now, and do not deserve the FF ip at all.
