L.A. Noire Reviews Are in. How to Get the GOTY Contender For Much Less

Look around the web, L.A. Noire is already getting the whole Game of the Year talk and averaging a 91 on Metacritic. This comes as no surprise, the game has looked clutch since the day it was announced. Now that the reviews are in, it’s time to take advantage on the current deals available for what could possibly be Game of the Year.

I can't wait for this game tomorrow!!! Pre-Ordered via Amazon for the $15 Bonus credit. This will go head to head against Uncharted 3.

Spitfire_Riggz4750d ago

Cant believe its almost out!!!

NukaCola4750d ago

Amazon also came with a DLC bonus too right? Someone told me something like a case and a gun or something. Or is the naked City exclusive to Gamestop? I personally don't like exclusive DLC, I think it's ruining the game exspecially for those who can't buy from a Gamespot, or GAME, etc.. etc...

I got it from buy.com. It was 45 dollar with free shipping. Man this game is going to be sweet.

Clutch? Eh?

R* hype hits again. I will not rush out for this one. I definitely want to play it, but I'm not being fooled this time. The media LOVES R*.

GOTY contender....? A bit too early to tell, and if this is the only competition Uncharted 3 has, then best believe U3 will take GOTY. I'm sure there is at least 1 or 2 better contenders.

MysticStrummer4750d ago (Edited 4750d ago )

I'm a PS3 only gamer, and most of my favorite games this gen are PS3 exclusives, but to say UC3 is the clear cut winner over LA Noire is silly. UC3 looks to be an improvement over UC2 in some ways, and it's definitely a contender for GotY, but LA Noire is using new tech and appears to be taking storytelling to a new level. I'd say LA Noire has the edge but it's way too early to call it. As you said, there will also be other contenders. Little Big Planet 2 should be in the convo, though it won't win. Same with Deadspace 2. Killzone 3 and Crysis 2 shouldn't be mentioned in the convo, though they probably will be. Then you have all the big titles yet to be released, such as Skyrim and Gears 3. Not being a Gears fan, and yes I've played Gears 1 and 2, I'd lean toward Skyrim or LA Noire myself. Almost forgot about Deus Ex... could suck... could be amazing.

Uncharted 2 had amazing reviews, higher than those of L.A. Noire(so far), so what would stop U3 from going higher or reaching that same level of quality? Gears of War 3 could be GOTY, but I don't think it'll surpass L.A. Noire.

Got it for 49.95, maybe not the game people thought it would be, but still a great game.

L.A. Noire And Bully — Rockstar's Lost Gems That Deserve A Sequel As Much As GTA

Hanzala from eXputer: "I do appreciate GTA 6, Rockstar, but if I could trade it for a new L.A. Noire or a Bully game, I'd do so in a heartbeat."

Skuletor41d ago

How are they lost? You can get L.A. Noire on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch and Bully is on the PS5 and Xbox Series too.

Psychonaut8541d ago

I want a new Manhunt game. But that will never happen.

Demetrius41d ago

Mfs are too sensitive nowadays and would cry instead of being concerned bout real world problems

Demetrius41d ago

Whenever gta 6 launch we won't be getting another rockstar title for another 10 years lol but on the positive side they bou to come back n show how open world supposed to be done 🔥

Skuletor41d ago

I won't expect any singleplayer DLC like IV's The Lost & Damned or The Ballad of Gay Tony after it launches either

12 Years Later, L.A. Noire is Still an Excellent Experience

There was a lot to love about Rockstar and Team Bondi's 2011 open world title.

One I never finished. I've been looking at the ps4 version off Amazon the last few months just never bit

It's worth playing LA Noire is one of my favorite Rockstar games. But I would also check out pawnshops or thrift stores if you want the game dirt cheap. Someone may have been dumb enough to dump the game.

Baffles me when people have these opinions about acclaimed games 😂

RhinoGamer88146d ago

100% agree... not perfect, but an engaging/refreshing experience.

sagapo146d ago

Agree, at time of release those facial expressions were amazing! They still hold strong even today imo.
The game on its own was good. Something fresh, but sidequests were a bit meh after a while.

Nacho_Z146d ago

I picked it up on sale recently, going to play it next summer. I'll get more out of it this time, first time around I treated the open world like it was GTA and goofed about, whereas now I'll play it with more respect. RDR2 has trained me well.

I also hadn't read Raymond Chandler at the time so presumably that'll add another layer of enjoyment too.

Absolutely stunning game. So underrated. Played through it again last year and it still stands up so well. Like many of rockstars games it’s actually a far better experience on PC. I didn’t enjoy it as much on console. Completed it at least 3 times on pc.

The rumours of a sequel are awesome news despite the fact I think Rockstar are now the shell of the company they once were.

SyntheticForm146d ago

Team Bondi made a hell of a game.
