DasReviews writes: "Illyriad Games announced today that their free-to-play MMO web-browsed strategy game, Illyriad, is now available. The game has been in development for two years and promises to offer a gameplay with depth that can be only found in subscription-based games."
Illyriad is a free online strategy game by Illyriad Games Ltd. The browser-based strategy game went live in 2010 and officially launched later in 2011.
played it.. was crap.. move along
so someone can sum uo game ?
IT's like all those nonstrategy strategy games out there with building counter in hours rather that minutes ?
Well... it's not going to be everyone's kind of game, I'm sure.
I've only started playing a few days ago, and am loving it; but it's definitely slow to get going.
However, it can't be as bad as revengemadmax is saying, especially since one of the most respected names in MMO game reviews (massively.com) just described Illyriad as follows (copy'n'paste from the review):
"...fantastic browser-based city-builder... a ton of depth... play at your own pace... perfect gameplay... plenty to do... it looks great... absolutely wonderful Lore... a delight to play... awesome community... the map is incredible... reminds me of Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones - those great big epic stories."
Anyway, as said, just getting into it, and so far I'm loving it - much more mature than the usual free MMO RTS, and a staggering amount to do when you get more advanced than a brand new player.
