Mass Effect goes gold

Microsoft Game Studios and BioWare Corp. announced today that the highly anticipated action role-playing game (RPG) Mass Effect has gone gold, and will be offered in a limited collector's edition. Additionally, an exclusive bonus disc will be offered to consumers who pre-order the game. The bonus disc is available at participating U.S. retailers while supplies last.

Game of the Year has gone gold! Only Xbox 360 gives Bioware the power and freedom they need to produce a truly next gen experience like Mass Effect.

It's good news about the Limited Edition as well, I will be putting 2 pre-orders on the game this week

I am happy to see Mass Effect had gone gold. I really enjoy there games I liked when the made the first KOTOR game and even Jade Empire. It just sucks that game never got good sales. Which I have no doubt will not happen to this game and that is great news.

The November edition of Game Informer gave Mass Effect a 9.75. A direct quote from the article says, "every second of gameplay offers the visual quality you have come to expect from Final Fantasy cutscenes". Chalk up yet another game rated 9.0 or higher on the Xbox 360.
