Fortix 2 Review - ZTGD

Michael Futter Writes: When we received Forix 2 for review, I immediately loaded up the YouTube video as I had never heard of the game or its predecessor. I immediately recognized the core concept of the gameplay from my youth. Back in the day when arcades were still a common sight, there was a game called Qix. The game challenged you to fill in sections of a square playing field by moving at right angles to enclose and capture area. Qix looked to be inspired by an Etch-a-Sketch with some moving hazards thrown in for good measure. The goal was to capture 75 of the territory before moving on to the next stage. This concept has been used since, most recently in Bully: Scholarship Edition’s Art Class minigame. None, though, have taken it to the level that Nemesys has in Fortix 2.

IndieFort Bundle 2 Review - Backlog Journey

"Remember the IndieFort? It was a pretty great bundle from GamersGate with quite a few games that, to me, felt like a breath of fresh air from the usual bundle offerings. Well, like all good bundles, it's back again for a new round with six more games. Also like the last bundle, the six games being offered are rather eccentric and unusual, which is exactly the kind of games I love.

Of course, this means you might be rather perplexed about whether or not this is the bundle for you. Well, I'm here with my usual bundle review to set you straight on all six games on hand. Skip past the break for the full scoop."

The Indie Gala Returns With A Multitude Of Bundles

DIYGamer: Digital scarcity is an interesting concept. There should be no logical limit on how many times you can copy a file or generate a key, some places seem to just run out of stock anyway. That’s a deliberate decision on part of the Indie Gala managers for this pay-what-you-want (kinda) sale, as rather than have a time limit, this particular sale will end with 50,000 bundles sold. In addition, there’s three different bundles available here, offering 3, 5 or 11 games respectively. Oh, and like the enormously successful Humble Bundles, a chunk of the takings goes to charity. Lots of choices. Hit the break for a quick run-down of what each bundle and game offers.

Nemesys Games has rolled out a new update for Fortix 2, available for owners of the reverse turret defense title to download now via Steam. The patch brings support for Xbox 360 controllers, fixes some rare start up crashing issues, and an issue that apparently led to at least one video card overheating is resolved as well.
