Joystick Division talks about how the PSN outage and Brink's broken multiplayer show the downside of online gaming.
AAA games get all the attention. But some games get lost in the shuffle. Especially shooters! Make time for these five.
I didnt care for brink. I thought it was going to be like overwatch back in the day.
It’s time to Switch to Brink before taking 12 Orbits around Letters from Whitechapel? That sort of works.
Six years later, and the game is available to anyone who wants it on PC.
The only thing which requires serious rethinking is Capcom's single player DRM. Which they likely aren't thinking about.
WTF, Brink is broken??? Oh ffs, not another game I've bought that won't work for months on end.
I give up.
Looks like the disagree fairy stopped through. This PSN outage is killing the gaming. I barely watch movies on it right now. Please get it back up soon, Sony.
I still play games on my PS3. It hasn't hampered me at all. I don't do a ton of online gaming because I can't stand to hear whiny 12 year olds bitch because they got killed. I mostly play GT5 online and F1 2010. I'm not losing any sleep over it. It will be up when it's up.
PSN offline is another reason why LAN support should be kept and supported by people. The codemasters games (dirt, grid) do this real well, while now with GT5 you're out of luck. Also why i have 4 copies of dirt 2 and grid for this purpose (luckily i got them pretty cheap)
