Where Could Assassin’s Creed 3 Head To?

"With the recent revelation of…umm…Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, we learn that we will once again embark on another adventure against the Templar enemy alongside or good old friend, Ezio Auditore. We’ve seen a quite a bit of his era, and it has undoubtedly been a great run, but after Revelations, I think it’s safe to say the series is due for a major turn." -theGamerBuzz

Feudal Japan would be a better setting in my opinion. After Assassin's Creed 1 I was sure they were going to take the series to ancient Japan.

MostJadedGamer4752d ago (Edited 4752d ago )

Why in the world would they take it to Feudal Japan. We already have enough games about Japan, and Ninjas/Samurais, and it would be pretty boring if they tried to do a AC game their.

Easily the best chocie is the French Revolution, and that is where I fully expect AC3 to be set.

MostJadedGamer4752d ago

The French Revolution would easily be the best choice.

Neo Nugget4753d ago

I would love to see a female Assassin pop up somewhere.

Rybakov4753d ago

how about MODERN TIMES like the damn plot line lead up too in the last one and just hope in for reference to different time periods......ubisoft your gonna kill your franchise if you dont finish the plot

Lyr1c4753d ago

They're treating Ezio as if he is the main character.

They're starting to lose focus a bit and have yet to acknowledge Desmond's role as lead.

Quagmire4753d ago (Edited 4753d ago )

The Creative Director of ACR said that they will unveil why Ezio was an important Assassin for Desmond, and will wrap up Ezio's and Altair's stories, among answering many of the WTF questions which arose when playing each game until this.

NO the main selling point of this series is being able to play epic in historical settings. Ubisoft risks losing a lot of sales in they ever make a AC game set in Modern times.

I think Ubisoft understands playing in epic historical settings is the biggest selling point of the AC franchise, and that is why we will NEVER see a AC game set in the Modern era. I would NOT even consider buying a AC game set in Modern times.

Quagmire4753d ago

1: Anywhere but America
2: Anytime before 1900

And preferably a Female Assassin for diversity in character/story development, but I'm fine with either.

Egypt would be pretty cool

When will you decommission this new one? I’m only asking so I can be happier by not buying it at full price.

bunt-custardly621d ago

The dog Chorizo from FAR CRY 6 has wheelchair legs, so is hardly a decommissioned pet. In fact very useful for digging up dirt.

Historic Eras that Video Games Need to Explore

Xfire writes "Worldbuilding is a crucial part of any story. It's not an easy task to create a believable setting with its own set of rules, customs, traditions and political affiliations and then weave a story into the said setting. Luckily, storytellers and video game writers don't always need to create complex settings when we've got history books as thick as Big Chungus.

Historical eras make a fabulous setting for video games. They've already got the world-building nailed, complete with their own set of rules, customs, traditions and political affiliations. Honestly, I don't think I need to justify the fact that historical eras make an amazing setting for video games. If you don't believe me, just go ahead and play the Ghost of Tsushima or any of the Assassin's Creed games."

The first crusade would be pretty sweet. I’d probably enjoy any of those on your list if they were done respectfully. Like not some dork in Portland making a Russian Revolution game.

Benin Empire, Far East, Central America. Games are pretty biased toward Europe, North America, and the Middle East. There is a very big world out there.
