Wired's Chris Kohler got some hands-on time with Ghost Squad:
"A couple Japan trips ago, four of us had a grand old time playing Sega's massive four-player military light gun game Ghost Squad. I'm pretty sure it was Ghost Squad. We'd been drinking. At any rate, Sega is definitely bringing Ghost Squad to Wii as a two-player game, and strangely enough I had a great time playing it even with the freakin' Wii Zapper."
"With all the Wii Zapper content coming this year, 2007 is the year of Wii shooters. Ghost Squad seems like it's going to give Umbrella Chronicles a real run for its money."
"You might think it is a very specific kind of madness that I bought a Wii U in the winter of 2017, but it was with good reason. While many people are off gallivanting with their Nintendo Switches and making all kinds of hot passionate love with its many critically acclaimed releases, I was delving into Nintendo’s motion-controlled past. One of the many games worth mentioning is Ghost Squad for the Wii."
"Every action mattered in Ghost Squad. Players needed to rely on each others accuracy. Adjust your shot on the fly, using the gun peripheral." -KJ of Play Legit Writes
Even ten years on, Ghost Squad remains one of the very best videogames of its kind.
