Video games based on movies are usually fodder for the bargain bin, but sometimes developers get it right.
A lot of movie tie-in games have been a bit naff, but there's a rare few that actually surpass the quality of their source material.
Butcher Bay is still an awesome game. Ghost Rider surprised me with how good it was, very GoW like. Warriors is another great one but with the exception of R&C, i havent played the others.

Obviously too young or ill-informed to pass judgement. Honestly, Orchard. You just mugged yourself off. Starbreeze Studios' The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is a very well-known classic.
Butcher Bay was great. From the prolog, fist fighting, knife fights and story. The immersion of the whole package really uped the criteria of what a cutting edge game was back then. I would like another adventure with Riddick, but it would have to be triple A status to live up to Butcher Bay.

See, thats what publishers like Activision and Sega dont understand, thaat a franchise or a name doesnt make the game good, its the developers. The reason Iron Man and Thor are crap is because they WANT to make it crap.
The developer for Chronicles of Riddick? Same developers who made The Darkness. (hows that for achievemnt; a GOOD comic-based game, and a GOOD movie-based game).
The developers for X-Men Origins: Wolverine? Raven Software, who also made the recent Wolfenstein and underrated Singularity games.
