This game was being built for the PS3. Just went multiplatform last year. Lead on PS3 (Like Castlevania, Arkham, FF XIII) It'll look the same on both and probably better on the PS3. That, plus one disc, is an easy win for me. Also, I have seen nothing but the PS3 version, so I have no idea how the 360 version looks or plays. But I know when the devs put the time into the PS3 like they are doing, you will see nothing short of perfection.

Not even a contest for me. PS3 gets nearly all my game purchases; I've forgotten the last time I bought a 360 game. Did download the Gears 3 beta, though. Might even eventually get around to playing it.

Not trolling, but the 360 version has 3 discs. That might factor into your console decision... or not. Just throwing it out there.

It's a hard choice:
From one side, the PS3 tends to look inferior with most open world games (GTA, RDR, Mafia 2 etc).
On the other end, it's supposed to have some kind of exclusive content for LA Noire, right? So that's worth something.
And then there's the discs issue: It's more convenient that you don't have to change discs, but on the 360 you have the option to install every game to the hard-drive and play it from a single CD without the need to change discs, so the PS3 has an edge here.
This gives you the added bonus of sharing the game with your friends - so both of you can play simultaneously. That actually gives the 360 multi discs version an edge...

My advice? Wait first for the game to be out and see how much the added content for the PS3 is relevant, and how both versions look side by side. Right now its just a guessing game...

So it has been confirmed that the 360 version has the option to install all three, then just play off of one? I remember seeing the article about the three discs for 360, but didn't hear if they were implementing that option to jut play off one after installation.

Can't wait getting it for my 360(no personal prefrences just am) I always like trying something new and rockstar always deliveres . And about the 3 discs its not a problem at all for mass effect it has 2 discs and all you had to do is switch discs and only took 5 seconds and the game would resume.

I have been interested in the game, the new mo-cap stuff and different approach to game play for longer than I care to think now(been a long time coming , this game)but I STILL have reservations about LAN.

You seem about the onl;y other person around here who isn't totally sold on it apart from myself. I worry that if they don't pace it right and get the balance between action and investigation right they could well lose a few gamers attention to other games without them ever finishing something they(R* and Bondi)have obviously spent a great deal of care on.

GTAs always have the fallback of the freedom and extra , non story based stuff you can do as well as us already knowing there's a balance between the slow and action parts of the game and with GTA4 and RDR making the shooting so much better this is now truer than ever for my mind. So, while there's a lot to be said for what I've heard of LAN I still have enough doubt to stop me picking it up day and date-I'm just not sure I'm going to enjoy it as much as I'd like to. I don't know if the face reading stuff s going to be up my street and if the game's too slow in general it risks dragging and that's where I fear people may turn off even if, like myself, they enjoy a thinking game as much as a fast paced action game. Pacing, for me, is virtually everything.
