Ubisoft announces WRC 2011

Ubisoft will release World Rally Championship 2011 on 3DS, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this October.

Hope its more like the good ol Colin Mcrae games, and not like the last WRC.

WRC 2010 isn't bad. Not amazing, but not bad either.

Rather lacking in presentation and features, but the core driving experience is pretty good.

I just read the article, and this new game looks like it is being developed by Milestone too (same devs that did 2010).

There's a bunch of stuff they could improve:

Ability to save replays and watch at a later date.

Ability to take photos.

Proper physics engine for trees and stuff. Not just any tree with a diameter of 10cm will stop your car dead no matter what.

Improved water splashes (again, proper physics engine for water).

Better crash engine (rather than the 'touch anything and your car does a 180 spin no matter what).

Greater number of stages that are more true to life (the Japan stages in 2010 are a joke).

Iron out the bugs with your co-driver. On the whole he is quite good, but when you are stuffing the competition at a split with about a 10 second lead and he says, 'Is that the best you can do??', it's really annoying and distracting.

But the 2010 WRC game never even came out in the US or Canada, so is this going to be released over here? It says Ubi obtained the "UK publishing rights"...
