Don't Overlook Lego Pirates of the Caribbean

JI writes: "Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is perhaps one of the most over-looked games heading to release this year which brings together creative aspects of gameplay and a fresh approach to a widely appealing IP that has flourished in the film space for some time. Releasing soon to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the Sony PSP, Nintendo Wii, DS, 3DS, and the PC is a family-friendly yet rich experience set in the universe of Jack Sparrow's many adventures."

I normally don't go for this type of game but I have been wanting to play more platformers lately so I may have to check this out!

NYC_Gamer4750d ago

they are really milking these lego versions of games

NukaCola4750d ago

Overlook? LEGO games are all awesome as hell.

X2theG4750d ago

Yeah they are, I'll admit it... HAHA!!

NukaCola4750d ago

It's a rare game that is both kiddy casual friendly and ragingly hardcore at the same time. Harry Potter was really great and they get better as they are made. The new Star Wars III Lego game is kind of weak but the gameplay is 10x that of the original Lego SW games and the graphics are really great.

Still waiting for LEGO Back to the Future.

Hayabusawoman134750d ago

I think LEGOs in general are awesome as hell so the games have to be fun...

X2theG4750d ago

I wish that Lego Halo was real. That would be a day one for me...

Hayabusawoman134750d ago

I think it would be fun to try, but wonder if while I am attacking if I will be thinking the Lego guys are so cute... probably not after they are chopping my head off while I am distracted huh... then I would probably get into full fighting mode. Background setting is clear , graphics are great, looks like they put a lot of work into it. I would give it a try and kick some Lego Pirate but..

I'm with ya hayabusa!!
Let's kick some leggo tail!!

A Look Back at Disney Games on PlayStation Handhelds

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "There are few brands out there that have anything like the appeal and recognition of Disney. Thanks to decades of beautiful and critically acclaimed animated films, the company is a household name that has expanded beyond just movies to include a variety of other ventures, including videogames. Disney has also grown its lineup considerably in recent years by acquiring Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars (although for the purposes of this article, I’ll only be covering Disney/Pixar output).

Thanks to their broad audience, Disney games usually show up on every viable platform out there, meaning that despite the brand’s affinity with Nintendo’s younger-skewing audience, both the PSP and Vita received a number of titles throughout their lives. Some of this was through Disney's own developer/publisher (Disney Interactive Studios), but the firm also licensed out its IPs for other companies to try their hand at – with somewhat mixed results."
