Mount & Blade: Warband was not the perfect RPG. But for everything it tried to be and what it succeeded in achieving, RPG fans should be looking forward to Mount & Blade: Fire and Sword. According to Digitally Downloaded, really, really looking forward to it.
It's released in just three days!
Dash Bomber writes, "Blast the face off your enemies with a musket that’s about as accurate as a blind man firing from 200m! This is what With Fire & Sword brought to the table when Mount & Blade got its current expansion out. Mount & Blade are a series of games about a random man, controlled by the player, trying to conquer the world. He can do this by aligning himself with one of the current super powers available or he can say “screw that” and create his own kingdom. If you have ever wanted to be the random guy that conquered the world, then this is the game for you!"

M. Arda, who has been moderating TaleWorlds forums and helping out Oyun Fest for a long while, found out an important secret by the new “Badge” system that has been integrated to Steam. Hope they make it a little more intuitive and presentable than the others. Their great games and all but a good budget would really kick them into gear.
I liked the idea of Mount and Blade. I played it for a while. But something about it just couldn't keep me interested in it. I am going to buy this one and hope it has that little something the last one just didn't seem to have to keep me playing.
I played Warband a little as well, but it failed to get me hooked past the first few hours. Although that may actually have had more to do with the strategy game elements rather than the combat and RPG elements - I was just never a big fan of the strategy genre, even though I've given it a shot, both turn-based and real-time, numerous times over the years.
I played warband for the first time last night, it seemed very interesting, but sadly it just felt a little too rough around the edges to pull me in. Graphics were pretty dated and there was only text where they should have been voiced characters. I understand its supposed to be a download title and possibly an indie dev? so they have done well in that respect. But it seems they are screaming out for some funding to make this a great game.
