PC and PS3 owners will have to wait a little longer before they'll be able to play the Xbox classic Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath in full glory; the HD version has been pushed back to the summer.
17 years after its initial release, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath has returned -- and has never been better than this.
If you missed the news, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is out now on the Switch via the Nintendo eShop. But there’s a physical edition that is now available for pre-order at Amazon.
As one of the last major releases for the original Xbox, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is also one of the most memorable games on the system, taking the series to new places with a cross between third-person platforming and first-person shooting. With its unique weapons system, open-ended mission design and fascinating story, it's a game that always felt special and still holds up today - and it's recently received an impressive Switch conversion.
Is this because they want the 360 version to release the same time? I know they were having problems getting the game to fit in the arcade size file.
Probably not, I would say they need the time because they have to implement new PSN protocols, so why not take the extra time to button up the game. I thought I heard there wasn't going to be a 360 version anyway??
The PC version of Stranger's Wrath is in much better shape now than when it launched. It was a mess early on, but it's substantially better now. I'm looking forward to this update.
360 version incoming but I think the PS3 version will come out first.
JAW decided to do an HD remake of Munch's Oddysee alongside Stranger's Wrath HD, and then decided it made perfect sense to create a PS3 Oddbox that includes those two titles alongside the original Abe games (Oddysee & Exodus).
