If you read the article, the 360 version is not yet final. The rockstar rep said that the final version will be the same. But that remains to be seen.

morganfell4755d ago (Edited 4755d ago )

It is less than a month before launch. The average is 3 weeks for the quick version of reproduction and shipping. The game is final.

just_looken4755d ago

true but a fyi the rage engine likes lunix over a pc os so la noire will run beter on ps3 like gtaiv does.

Biggest4755d ago

Which one has the most content? I'd say that version is the best.

Noctis1064755d ago

which version of GTA 4 has more contents? Tell me! They have the same # of contents. Xbox360 had 2 DLCs before PS3 because Microsoft paid $$$ to get them. If that's what you mean "better"?

DERKADER4755d ago (Edited 4755d ago )

@Noctis

PS3 version of L.A. Noire has exclusive content. Don't get your panties in a bunch. So yes I think the PS3 version is "better" due to more content.

Nothing is ever better on PS3 if it is multiplatform! everyone should know this by now! WTF is wrong with everyone? Damn your stupidity fanboyism pisses me off so much so you force me to use fake words (Fanboy, fanboyism).

im sure sub HD on ps3 ... like always gta4 rdr now la noire

Blacktric4755d ago (Edited 4755d ago )

The game is not using RAGE engine for God's sake. Not to mention it was a PS3 exclusive before Agent's announcement at E3 2009.

MaxXAttaxX4755d ago

Actually, Rockstar said not to confuse LA Noire with the PS3 exclusive title they'd be working on.
This was before Agent was even announced.

just_looken4755d ago

@Blacktric
the rage engine is currently the only next gen engine rstar has fyi.

cooperdnizzle4755d ago

Red dead is sub hd. But not gta4. And not this. I think you should think about what you are typing before your typing. Either that or you really have no idea what your talking about.

Blacktric4755d ago (Edited 4755d ago )

"the rage engine is currently the only next gen engine rstar has fyi."

Get your facts straight first. Developer is Team Bondi, not Rockstar. They just invested after seeing game's potential and become the publisher for the title. And GameInformer magazine also revealed that the game won't be using RAGE but a proprietary engine made by Team Bondi.

"Actually, Rockstar said not to confuse LA Noire with the PS3 exclusive title they'd be working on."

Read what I said. I said it was a PS3 exclusive before Agent's announcement, making the game, most likely, look better on PS3 since the development started on that system. For God's sake is everyone high today?

Kleptic4755d ago

cooperndizzle...

the PS3 version of GTAIV was sub HD, something like 640p or something...but ran significantly better than the 360 counterpart (if you trust the media) because of automatic HDD caching that the 360 version did not have...

Most media outlets pointed to the PS3 version being better visually in every way, despite being slightly lower resolution...the color recreation was more realistic, pop-in was far less, and the frame rate was more stable...

thats all a matter of opinion I guess, its just what a lot of reviews mentioned...I only played the PS3 version...and it definitely chugged at times too...but I can't say I noticed much pop-in other than when doing something ridiculous in a helicopter...

RDR on PS3 was far worse though...sub HD and multiple glitches that were not in the 360 version...they did patch the hell out of it, so not sure how the end result was...

zeeshan8104755d ago

Then why R* is showing "sub-HD" version to public? They always show the lead version like RDR (Xbox360 version), GTA IV (Xbox360 version).

MaxXAttaxX4754d ago

BOTH Team Bondi AND Rockstar are development L.A. Noire.

oh boy, I hope English isn't your first language. :P

ChrisGTR14755d ago

LOL! i swear, every single time theres a big multiplat game theres always an article about how its better on ps3 then it comes out and it always sucks. crysis2, gta4,red dead, mafia 2, assasins creeds.

SephireX4755d ago

It certainly won't be better on 360. That's for sure. More games should be lead developed on PS3 to get the best of both systems. Its annoying that the 360 is dragging back the quality of multiplatform games but that's the downside of business competition.

S25804755d ago

haven't we all learned by now that every game is better on one platform or the other.

Master_S4755d ago

hat both versions will perform the same and that any differences will be negligible. Whether the PS3 version has a slight edge due to it being the lead platform is yet to be seen, but in all honestly, don't be surprised if the two versions are exactly the same, bar differences in contrast and brightness levels due to each system's outputs.

L.A Noire better on PS3?

NO.

Surfaced4755d ago

Care to explain why not? We've seen what happens to games that were developed exclusively on one platform for years, and later were moved to multiplat status.

KiRBY30004755d ago (Edited 4755d ago )

@legion

FF XIII

Perjoss4755d ago

then please explain Ghostbusters, was developed as ps3 lead platform and ended up looking terrible compared to 360 version, sud hd etc etc.

Surfaced4755d ago (Edited 4755d ago )

Source on Ghostbusters having PS3 as the lead platform?

But that's not the point; poor programmers can make that happen. My statement is specifically regarding time.

Ghostbusters wasn't in development exclusively for PS3 for two years before work on the Xbox version began.

Colmshan19904755d ago

Ghostbusters wasn't developed with the PS3 as lead platform.
It was released as a timed PS3 exclusive because the publishers went under a few months before release time, so Sony said they'd publish it if they got it first.
360 was definitely the lead though.

DuneBuggy4755d ago (Edited 4755d ago )

But it was developed with the PS3 as the lead platfrom. A simple Google search shows that with several sources.Heres a quote from the dev and the link from one of them.

----"We've found that writing for the PS3 first and then porting to the 360 and PC is a much simpler and more efficient procedure," he concluded.---

http://multiplayerblog.mtv....

Also from what I recall, it was a timed exclusive in the European market only. It released on both platfroms in the U.S. at the same time.

nfourgtoday4755d ago

Hard to say but good points..

hiredhelp4755d ago (Edited 4755d ago )

Well it seems as stated it was originally for ps3. Seemed they not stopes it restarted it for both consoles. Instead carried out the task. Just like final fantasy should of done.
We know the ps3 has the edge performance .. But many automatically think it means visually too that's not the case. However when a game is developed soly for 1 console then u get best results.

I'm not sure how long they working on the 360 version but if they state we wont see much diff, like crysis then why be worried intact be glad cos take red dead redemption that awesome on both systems. Myself I'm buying this.

Muerte24944755d ago

If we had more statements like that on N4g, we would see less people with just one bubble. PS3 is the lead platform, but I'm positive xbox360 will look just as good. Rockstar is offering exclusive DLC when you buy the ps3 version. I wonder what they are going to offer xbox360 owners?

L.A. Noire And Bully — Rockstar's Lost Gems That Deserve A Sequel As Much As GTA

Hanzala from eXputer: "I do appreciate GTA 6, Rockstar, but if I could trade it for a new L.A. Noire or a Bully game, I'd do so in a heartbeat."

Skuletor27d ago

How are they lost? You can get L.A. Noire on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch and Bully is on the PS5 and Xbox Series too.

Psychonaut8527d ago

I want a new Manhunt game. But that will never happen.

Demetrius26d ago

Mfs are too sensitive nowadays and would cry instead of being concerned bout real world problems

Demetrius26d ago

Whenever gta 6 launch we won't be getting another rockstar title for another 10 years lol but on the positive side they bou to come back n show how open world supposed to be done 🔥

Skuletor26d ago

I won't expect any singleplayer DLC like IV's The Lost & Damned or The Ballad of Gay Tony after it launches either

One I never finished. I've been looking at the ps4 version off Amazon the last few months just never bit

Knightofelemia131d ago

It's worth playing LA Noire is one of my favorite Rockstar games. But I would also check out pawnshops or thrift stores if you want the game dirt cheap. Someone may have been dumb enough to dump the game.

andy85131d ago

Baffles me when people have these opinions about acclaimed games 😂

RhinoGamer88132d ago

100% agree... not perfect, but an engaging/refreshing experience.

sagapo132d ago

Agree, at time of release those facial expressions were amazing! They still hold strong even today imo.
The game on its own was good. Something fresh, but sidequests were a bit meh after a while.

Nacho_Z132d ago

I picked it up on sale recently, going to play it next summer. I'll get more out of it this time, first time around I treated the open world like it was GTA and goofed about, whereas now I'll play it with more respect. RDR2 has trained me well.

I also hadn't read Raymond Chandler at the time so presumably that'll add another layer of enjoyment too.

1nsomniac132d ago (Edited 132d ago )

Absolutely stunning game. So underrated. Played through it again last year and it still stands up so well. Like many of rockstars games it’s actually a far better experience on PC. I didn’t enjoy it as much on console. Completed it at least 3 times on pc.

The rumours of a sequel are awesome news despite the fact I think Rockstar are now the shell of the company they once were.

SyntheticForm132d ago

Team Bondi made a hell of a game.
