The closed beta for Ubisoft's TrackMania2 Canyon, the sequel to racing game TrackMania, will be available beginning in July 2011. The TrackMania2 Canyon closed beta also will mark the beginning of ManiaPlanet, a new networked gaming system for PCs that provides tools for community-based game creation and participation.
One Angry Gamer "Now here’s a bit of news you probably didn’t see coming: Nadeo has announced that you can gain free access to their ManiaPlanet games right now, no strings attached. You download the free demo and for 48 hours straight you can play the ManiaPlanet titles for free."
Ubisoft and Nadeo have announced a very special offer for Trackmania 2 Canyon, Valley and Stadium. According to the French publisher, PC gamers can go ahead and download the first two games and gain access to all their community-created content for the first 48 hours.
Shootmania Platform, developed by Nadeo, will be free in its current beta form for the whole summer.
