Prima Upsets MK Fans

One thing that fighting game lovers can be sure of, is that with every new game, there will be a new strategy guide. When Prima Games announced their Kollector’s Edition guide, it seemed like a dream come true for Mortal Kombat fans.

Well to be fair those that are collectors will rather want the retail copy as its not the same as owning an actual hardback.

We just found a few errors that they missed in their errata, as well. Mileena's 2nd Fatality and Stage Fatality are incorrect. Prima f'd this up big time.

People still buy this junk. I quit buying guides when they went to crap in the late 90tys. I stopped even glancing at them while waiting in line after I discovered gamefaqs.com.

This means you're not collector but a guy who can't play games on his own. Those guides are for collectors. Like name says.

Demonsdown4790d ago

....the article is about the wrong info being in the guide. Not about some crazy pack-rats that just have to collect more junk just so they can end up on a stupid TV show about people cleaning out all their junk. Including a bunch of crappy game guides that they only got because it was shinny on the outside.

and i was wondering why some moves won't work. at leas prima games admit there was issues

PaladinXII4790d ago

This is, supposedly, an "official" guide. These errors are not ok. Admitting them doesn't make it better. Those of us that paid for the guide have every reason to be upset.

i'm not upset and i bought the guide.

My favorite is always going to be Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. I know some people didn't like the addition of the run button. But, man that game is burned into my memory from childhood, lol.

That's the one I played the most as a kid. Fun times gaming on my Sega Genesis, the memories

Deception, MK2, MK9, MKX ..rest.

MK2 will always be the best in the series. Been playing a lot of MK1 lately though. Definitely enjoying it more than any other NRS era MK game.

1 and 2 were cultural phenomenon's.

I will always have a special place in my memory for MK 1 and 2. You had to be there during that era at the arcades. Martial arts tournament fighting movies were still popular, and MK 1 was exciting. Real life motion captured characters done well (unlike Pit Fighter). A cast of characters we all liked like Bruce Lee(Lui Kang), Van Damme(Johnny Cage), the Lightning god(Raiden) from Big Trouble in Little China, and Ninjas, gotta have Ninjas. Goro was menacing as hell. The MK arcade had some of the best speakers similar to Killer Instinct as you could hear the loud crisp and bassy sound that was distinctly different than other arcades. MK 2 improved greatly on the controls and fighting mechanics
