Modern Warfare 3 Graphics – What to hope

The developers of previous Call of Duty games have always introduced amazing accessible features such as Zombie Mode, Character Customization and so on. However at the same time there have always been complaints regardless of how good the game is, for example there have been horrific glitches such as the barrel glitch in Black Ops which enforces team killing. It’s probably natural for gamers to complain about the game no matter what. This is also a big problem with the graphics. So here, MW3F.com will present various things that we would and wouldn’t like to see in Modern Warfare 3 related directly to the graphics.

idk, they all look the same to me. What we can hope for is a full overhaul of the engine, or a new one and better graphics but same gameplay that most people love.

what we will get is the exact same thing we have been getting for years now, which is just a re-skin of COD4 with nearly the exact same glitches and physics.

What does that even mean? Nothing is perfect, but if you were talking about graphics for a shooter i am assuming near perfect for a modern day shooter would be near realistic, otherwise anything could be called perfect.

I'm not getting my hopes up for the graphics to improve. It'll probably still LOOK the same as the other CoD games. I wish they would put some effort forward and update the engine, but alas here we are 5-6 years into the console cycles and CoD looks nearly the same as it started out this generation. I wish CoD devs. had the dedication other devs. like Naughty Dog, etc. have to make their games better with each new iteration, but, sadly, money talks and people keep buying the games like they are, so they're not going to spend the money or resources to make CoD look any better than it has for years now. And CoD doesn't really look that good to me now. With games like Uncharted, Battlefield, Gran Turismo 5, etc. no one can really say CoD's graphics look that good anymore.

Modern Warfare 3 won't have anything mind blowing over Black Ops. The only thing I felt that Modern Warfare 2 deserved more praise was in the Spec Ops, me and my girlfriend have played through all of them on Veteran many times and they still don't get boring. If Modern Warfare 3 gave us a Spec Ops editor with a FarCry 2 style map maker I would maybe buy the game just for that.

Poorly written article. This author somehow thinks that MW2 graphics are vastly different from Black Ops. That is completely wrong. yes there are minor differences, but those differences are in framerate, jaggies, and screen tearing. Mw2 graphics were just as cartoonish as Black Ops, if maybe a bit better. Mw3 will look just as crappy. Why? Because with 1 year is not enough time to make a new engine, or vastly improve graphics

black ops and mw2 did not use the same engine

black ops is still using the cod4 engine
mw2 uses the next iteration of that engine

west and zampella wouldn't turn the tech that they developed over to treyarch...it is all in the activision suit

the mw2 engine is quite a bit better performance wise than the blackops counterpart

I'm hoping the framerate and resolution doesn't take a dive like it did in Black Ops on my PS3. WTF was that, MW2 ran better on PS3 than the newer game.
