SEGAbits: "Some folks are never happy.
As with everyone else this week, I was ecstatic to see the new Sonic Generations gameplay trailer. While discussing it over several different forums, I noticed the same topic coming up. “Why isn’t it on Wii?!” “That’s not fair, the Wii should get an anniversary game too!” And my favorite, “LOL typical Sega. screwing over Wii fans”. This line of discussion really ticked me off. Mainly because if you’re a Sonic fan who only owns a Wii, you’ve never had it so good!"
Sega has released its financial statement for the 2023-24 fiscal year, and profits may be up, but it's mostly not down to video games.
SEGA has announced Fearless: Year of Shadow, a campaign that celebrates Sonic the Hedgehog and his brooding acquaintance, Shadow.
GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.
The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."
It was not mentioned for Wii because it is being made for project cafe..
Wow, using an image from the furry yiff comic "Coyote River" for this story? Really?
Really....
I'd rather play Sonic with a standard controler like the good old days.
I mean I played on Sonic Colours, it was alright, but in my opinion I still didn't think it was good as many people have said. It felt too casual to me. I mean little colourful aliens called wisps......I'll pass
I think PS3/360 owners deserve some Sonic love. It would be funny if the game ended up being amazing and it's the first Sonic game for a while thats not coming out for the Wii.
This guy does realize that out of those 5 games, two of them were worth playing right? 2 were totally garbage party games (the olympic games ones) and the other one (The Black Knight) had no business being called a sonic game and was a cheap knock off. So the Wii only really has 2 Sonic games in terms of actual entertainment.
I didn't even know this was an issue.
