E3 Speculation: Looking Into E3 2011

As E3 2011 approaches, theres one question that everyone is asking. What is going to happen at E3?! Though im not an expert, I am offering my speculation as to what will be featured and shown at E3 this year.

Bring on the new gen!!

Cannot wait to see something new, getting very sick of sequels...though many are great and I am excited about quite a few, i love that new game feel, the anticipation, the mystery, with uncharted 3 or gears 3, we know what we are getting, they will both be freaking kick ass no doubt, but i doubt i'll be suprised by anything they do!

one thing great about the new gen is you see a lot of franchises being born, besides nintendo that is.

Nintendo shows off Wii 2 and then
Sony up it and shows off PS4 and then
Microsoft comes out and show a few casual Kinect games.

I say we should quit speculating on whats going to happen/ be announced at E3 and just let microsoft,ninty, and sony surprise us. We know they're each going to have something good to share lets just wait a see what it is.

nintendo new console and NGP should dominate, I'm thinking MS gets overshadowed this year....unless they have some massive announcement, but I doubt it.

I doubt they will have much. Outside of maybe some new Kinect features, they dont have anything. The fact that they dont have a new console will put them behiend the other companies, and they wont stand out as much.

Don’t be so quick to throw Microsoft on the scrapheap just yet.

The fact of the matter is that we know NOTHING about Microsoft’s plans for E3. Sony and Nintendo are coming to the party with some flashy new hardware that’s for sure, But absolutely nothing has been leaked from The Soft.

You could be right. They could have not much. Just a handful of solid exclusives like Forza 4, Kingdoms and Gears 3. And a new COD trailer. But we don’t know for sure do we?

I’m not saying that they are going to “win” E3 by any means. Even Halo 4 won’t do that. But just because nothings been leaked doesn’t mean nothings happening

I am not saying that they havent had some good announcements, but last year the same thing was said and all it really focused on was Kinect. Even in the year when FFXIII was announced multi, I (personally) did not take much out of it...

at least with sony (and nintendo) I can expect some interesting announcements and clips (twisted metal announcement FTW). Im hoping that nintendo will continue to do well after last years show, though I must admit I really want to see Sony's show - Cant wait for more Agent (it has me interested)... FFVII remake for NGP = total domination for the new console

I agree with what you said, I am just thinking with the rumors about a new console in 2015, combined with the fact that they havnt said anything yet would lead me to conclude that they dont have much...Lol. But you are correct that we must wait and see

You have come to a valid conclusion based on the evidence in front of you.
I don’t think anyone could really argue against it without coming off as a bit of a fanboy.

I think we will see a more subdued showing than last year from Microsoft (Thank god).
They will just focus on some really great games and new services for XBL. And I don’t think anyone here would hold that against them at this stage of the 360’s lifespan.

We know that the next gen is coming, and a new Xbox will be a part of that. Let’s just enjoy what we have for a while longer.

NGP is going to dominate, I could care less about Nintendo's console, if you're above the age of 16 then you shouldn't be fooled by a shiny piece of hardware that most likely won't offer anything except Mario. :quizzical:

So yeah, 1 console and 1 handheld announcement, extensive Uncharted 3 gameplay, and a dumpload of gameplay we've been waiting forever to see? This should be the best E3 in years.

A HD nintendo console with more power than an X360 is very very interesting to me. Firstly most mario games are awesome and if you think thats all nintendo has to offer then you're sadly mistaken.

Also if they come with a new console on the same level or better than what's out there now, you can bet your ass that many more 3rd party games will be released on it and it may actually be "the best version".

Of course all of this is assuming nintendo does not half ass it like I think they will, at least from previous experience with the DS, 3DS and Wii.

Lmao you mad? Its not that much about Mario, its more about the fact that Nintendo doesnt do anything big besides Mario really...its one of their main things, and besides that and a few other franchises, Nintendo doesnt offer anything else. Mario is good, we just want more from Nintendo
