Pwngamer.com: Diablo III on consoles is one step closer

Pwngamer.com says: To the dismay of hardcore PC fanatics, In a recent interview with Diablo 3's lead designer the question of a console platform release for their upcoming title Diablo 3 showed strong indications that Blizzard is taking this seriously and would go ahead with this plan -- this basically confirms many speculations with the job postings at Blizzard.
Speaking with Atomic Gamer, Blizzard lead content designer Kevin Martens says that the company is open to the possibility of bringing Diablo 3 to consoles...

Not that Im against the idea but its Activision Blizzard now so they will try to make profit by any ways lol

SuperKing4797d ago

Can't wait to play it on my PS3.

Anarki4797d ago

If that's the case, they'd of ported WoW and Starcraft.

Persistantthug4797d ago

And Starcraft 2 is an RTS. There has never been a GREAT and successful console RTS, except for Halo Wars.

Diablo 3 though...that's a game that's easy to bring to consoles. I expect it to happen.

fluffydelusions4797d ago

Wouldn't be the 1st time Diablo was on consoles.

bobrea4797d ago

I couldn't give a shit. I'm getting it for PC, I don't care what other people play it on. Don't see why fanboys give a shit if more people play it

BeastlyRig4797d ago

yes Everything is better in HD!!

madjedi4796d ago (Edited 4796d ago )

@beastly rig

Yeah umm this diablo 3 were talking about not a fps with massive open areas with uber high resolution textures or an rts with 100's to thousands of individual units on screen at 1 time all doing something.

Now are you beating your chest about this games visuals on pc or am i mistaken?

bobrea4796d ago

Are you implying that consoles don't offer HD gaming?

Spinal4796d ago

PC will still be the Best platform for it in EVERY aspect. Just like Battlefield 3 :)

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein126d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

shinoff2183126d ago

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera435d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33434d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
