Sonic Generations secrets revealed!

Today Sega announced some interesting info on Sonic Generations.

1) You can play as classic sonic or 1999+ green-eyed Sonic. /one spaz session later- I am totally psyched about being able to play as classic sonic again.

2) Classic levels in HD both side-scrolling and 3rd person. Now, that’s interesting. We’ve seen Green Hill Zone as 3rd person in Sonic Adventure 2 but now other’s – in HD? But beyond that – being able...

Now this is gonna be awesome!! As long as it doesn't fall into the low quality area the last several games have been. Only gripe I have is with Classic Sonic's jumping noise. It sounds more like the Sega CD version, kinda wish they would have done the Sonic 3K sound instead, but hey, if that is my only complaint - Hats off to SEGA!

Simple yet effective tip for Sega:

Absorb what is useful, Discard what is not, Add what is uniquely your own. (but don't over do it like very slow and difficult platforming game play on a fast paced game) Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do. Simplicity is the last step of art.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken54d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake54d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol
