Nintendo Universe writes:
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… well, in fact, it was six years ago when the LEGO Star Wars: The Videogame debuted on the GameCube, alongside Xbox, PlayStation 2, PC, Mac and a portable version on GameBoy Advance. Heralded for humorously immortalising the Star Wars universe in a parodied LEGO guise, such a formula has proved to be growingly popular with the gaming audience, and has since spawned iterations that have taken archaeological adventurer Indiana Jones, comic book superhero Batman and the wizarding delights of Harry Potter as their source.
If you haven’t played these retro(ish) Star Wars games, today is the perfect day to give them a try.
I am not a big Star Wars guy but I enjoyed Shadows of the Empire on the N64 I found it at a pawnshop one day for $20. I bought it and I still enjoy it from time to time I only own three Star Wars games in my collection Shadows of the Empire and both Force Unleashed games. I remember my grandmother would rent a game console during Xmas she grabbed the N64 and Shadows of the Empire I sat in front of the tv all the time with that game.
James writes: "It doesn’t seem too long ago that I was reminiscing about the LEGO Star Wars game which birthed a legacy in 2005. As of right now however, it’s time to celebrate a later instalment from 2011, while also taking a look at how it went slightly off-piste in terms of the gameplay and the source of its narrative. I am of course referring to LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, which is full of innovation and probably doesn’t get enough credit for the things it attempted."
LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars is now available to download through Games with Gold on Xbox 360 and Xbox Backwards Compatible on Xbox One.
The Lego games usually do really well on the Wii. I'm sure this one will too.
