Rely on Horror - With The 3rd Birthday being somewhat of a spinoff, longtime fans of the series are left to wonder if there will ever be a Parasite Eve 3.
Square Enix suggested they might remaster more games from their storied archives—here are the classics we’d like to see get a new coat of paint.
I would definitely enjoy a Xenogears remaster. Recently finished Legend of Dragoon again (this time with platinum trophy) and would love to dive back into Xenogears with Fei and the rest of the crew.
Square Enix classics? dont they mean Squaresoft. Square Enix dont make classic games, just games with pretty graphics, no heart & soul, boring & over stuffed with woke Gen Z cockiness.
But while were on the subject i would love too see a remaster of Front Mission 3.
The PlayStation (PSX or PS1) was home to a whole load of amazing games. The system is arguably the best console for RPGs and helped revolutionize sports and shooter games. With such an influx of overwhelmingly great PS1 RPGs and other games, it’s only natural that a few would slip through the cracks.
I thought Dune 2000 was something I made up in my head. I used to ask my brothers about the sand level in Command and Conquer. The interface is like dead-on.
I’m fairly certain Parasite Eve was not underrated. The game got a greatest hits release and is pretty fondly remembered to this day.
The Quest Mode for Ehrgeiz is phenomenal. Really good looking ps1 game that benefits from modern emulation.
I find it weird Um Jammer Lammy being so unknown when I think it's much better than Parappa. It even has a secret second half which you play as Parappa himself, with rap versions of the songs.
However, while Parappa is famous and his first game even got a remaster, Um Jammer Lammy stays forgotten.
Take a look at some PS1 game prices that have really taken off over the past 2 years. Some are trending much higher, but a few have dipped recently and it might be your last shot to get them into your collection affordably.
Will Square Enix ever raise to the creativity of Sqauresoft or Enix? I'm not putting money down on it.
I sure hope there is. But at the rate that Square Enix is going I highly doubt it.
There was a time when I desired sequels to games from square, Now I'd rather they just didn't. I don't want them to fu*k up good games.
It won't have much in common with the other 2 games, but that doesn't mean it won't be fun. With Square's recent record I'm not betting it'll be much fun either. Here's to it not totally sucking. Pick it up at your local bargain bin. I hate paying 10 bucks for an ok movie. It really hurts to pay 60 bucks for an ok or truly sub-par game.
I find it funny how everyone keeps denying the fact that the 3rd Birthday IS the 3rd parasite eve. In terms of time line it takes place after Parasite eve 2 and it involves the same characters and it's ending goes to far to be a side story as it ruins chances for recovery.(won't spoil it but those who have beaten the game will know what I'm talking about and those who haven't can head over to wiki for a summery of the ending)
In my opinion after having played The 3rd Birthday they need to reboot the series and character because of the horrible ending(which by the way made NO SENSE at all) or just flat out say that The 3rd Birthday wasn't canon. The entire game ruined the world and characters of the original series but goes to far with it's plot to be a simple spin off so unless a 3rd true game in the series is a prequel or takes place before The 3rd Birthday I think they should just reboot it. And try to get as many of the original team members back on it so we get more horror and less retarded sci fi that makes no sense.
