"Released in 2005, Sniper Elite saw gamers playing an American OSS secret agent disguised as a German sniper in Berlin during the final days of World War II."

Why always American? Would be cool to play german sniper sniping some allies for a change, or Russian one, or French resistanse, or anything a bit newer. Hell, put us in a shoes of Simo Häyhä, that would be Sniper Elite for you :D Well the game concept sounds cool, and I'm ranting even before there is any real info.. I'll be following this one.

Sniper elite was a great game from last gen that I believe has been released on the Wii. The bullet time was the biggest attraction and there are alot of videos on U-tube showing people trying to get the longest shot.

Whatever they decide, I hope they use Crytek's Cry-3 engine. It would be perfect for this type of game. Stuart Black ( Bodycount, Black ) is making a new FPS with Cry-3.

Old and New: My Adventures in Sniper Elite V2

Jason was woefully unprepared for the slower-paced nature of Sniper Elite V2 — originally from the last-gen of consoles and now on practically everything (He played on his Switch). There’s no running and gunning, but there are certainly cool set pieces.

Hopefully this comes to Vive and Oculus too.

Just saw the press release. It's being developed for "VR devices", so likely all of them.

Not sure if PC will get it or when. Will be a nice fit for the aim controller though.

Saw this on reddit and YouTube last night.

Sniping with the AIM will be devastatingly fun. Just recently went back and played Far point just so that I could snipe some aliens.

Ought to be great. Too bad Konami sucks and we can't get a silent scope.

Sold, there is literally no one better for a sniping vr game

It should be interesting to see. Gun Club is crazy fun as a shooting gallery. But the 2 handed tracking occlusion blows when straight at the camera. Facing left or right is great.

I hope the developer can come up with a solution. Because sniping is still fun even if mostly 1 handed. Or allow AIM support even if it takes away the awesome reloading fun of 2 moves.

Well the pic shows AIM support and the article says it looks to include it. So I’m going to assume it supports AIM haha

I was about to pick up Gun Club in this weekend's sale but then decided against it and got the season pass for Spider-Man instead.

I need to check and make sure both of my moves are still working before I try and purchase. Lethal VR was good and Gun Club looks to be a bit more polished with many different types of guns. No AIM support is disappointing though.

I will get this day one, AIM needs a good sniping game and Sniper Elite VR I am sure will be more that enough when it comes to sniper satisfaction.

Planning to play Borderlands2 with AIM just to be able to snipe and of course feel like I'm actually using a two handed weapon like a machine gun.
