Spider-Man: Edge of Time debut trailer

Activision released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

Not if it is made by Activision it ain't. In case you haven't noticed, they are applying the same model of annual releases (like Call of Duty). Shattered Dimensions was last year, and there is an article that says that gameplay of Edge of Time is similar to that one.

I just feel sorry for Spiderman as Activision is running them into the ground.

If it's not open-world.. It will fail miserably.

Read your comment again...PS1. Do you really think the PS1 could handle something like Spider-Man 2, 3, Ultimate and Web of Shadows could? They were good cause they were the best of the best in those days. Now a days if a Spider-Man game isn't open world its just crap.

There was this one part in the Spider-man animated series where there was this guy who didn't know the difference between good and evil. He wanted to know if good could always triumph over evil so he took all the super heroes off the earth for a year and let the villains run rampant. Then He put Spider-man back on and gave him his choice of 9 hero companions to help bring the world back to order.

They should make a game out of that.

Oh hell yes! Except either you can choose ten hero's not Spider-Man by default and then 9 other heroes, or the game is with maybe not 10 but like 5 pre-set heroes and you switch between them (like shattered dimensions) but its an open world, so for example Spider-Man swings obviously, Captain America would maybe get a motorcycle or something, The Human Torch flies, Hulk...jumps and say well there are many other options like Iron Man, Wolverine, Storm, Thor or even Deadpool!

Just give the Spiderman franchise to someone else that can do it right for goodness sake instead of the pointless button mash fest that it alway is. Spidey deserves better. Give it to Eidos and Rocksteady and see what they can do with it.

btw a linear spiderman game wouldnt be a bad idea as long it includes alot of smart platforming and exploration that only spidey could do, add an interesting story, a long singleplayer and a colurfull looking graphics with that cell shaded look.

Can I ask all the little Spider-man fanboys to open their eyes. The game looks like shit and isn't going to play much better.
You will never see an arkham asylum quality spider-man until you stop giving activision your money for shit games. If this game involved a completely different character skin, nobody would be interested. That's how you know it's shit.

as for this game, it looks like an expansion pack of SD. i still need to beat that game. the big issue i have with it, is i have the wii version :/ and its like push AAA, waggle left, up, ect, so i forget the combos. it would be nice if they had CC support, but i guess that would make too much sense. 9_9
