GamingOgre: Rush'N Attack is back after 17 years, but is this Soviet side scroller still any good or should it have stayed M.I.A.? To find out, read our full review!
PlayDevil has posted an XBLA review of Konami's retro sequel, "Rush N Attack: Ex-Patriot".
TheGamingExperience gets Patriotic for this review!
Gameshark - The timing of Rush'N Attack: Ex-Patriot couldn't be better. Red Dawn fever is sweeping the video game landscape and games such as Bionic Commando Re-armed 2 and Konami's own Hard Corps: Uprising have shown that fans are aching for action-platformers with classic roots.
I read the review and I couldn't disagree more. My experience was almost the direct opposite of what you experienced, with great controls, visuals, combat and an AI you can easily outsmart. I also don't know where the 17 years reference is from, as the latest arcade release was MIA, released in 1989. I did however play the XBLA version, but I can't for the life of me envision there would be such a vast world of difference.
Um.. The 17 years is because Ex-Patriot is a direct sequel. MIA was a spiritual successor, like Hard Corps: Uprising is to Contra: Hard Corps.

I'm glad your experience was better, and my review was written based on playing the PSN version, so maybe there's a difference between the two versions.
You're right. I'm apparently terrible at math. It should have been 26 years, not 17. Sorry about that.
