I like the new character design and settings much better. The old character design was pretty terrible imo.

It's funny how quick people are to whine as soon as something changes. I can agree with the Dante emo makeover being lame but the new Max Payne looks cooler in every way.

It's fantastic to be seeing some new Media regarding the title. Hopefully Max Payne's return will be glorious. Looking at the scan's the games coming along nicely, I don't particularly find the redesign necessary, as its been years since we last saw Max and naturally he's going to have changed and his situation developed, but regardless, we can see a little more "Max" in the character now...

And now, to read the article.
Off topic, I love EDGE Magazine, its so sophisticated in its presentation and writing style. Whilst only 17, I miss the days of magazines being the main source for game news. Were people had to read the article and not base their knowledge off screens and headlines...

By the looks of it, he's still going to put on weight and loose hair, its just now we're seeing it in a proggressive state. I don't mind it, it adds more character and atmosphere to the story. I'm looking forward to this title...

I still think they should of done this change for MP4 if they started a new trilogy.

Rockstar should of finished the third game which kept that theme from the first two games and then changed his look and location for the next game

Pfft. Clearly Remedy were good at story and on old tech the gameplay seemed more impressive. If there is one developer that can "save" it (I wasn't aware it had any downfall as MP3 isn't even out yet, seems people are just judging before THEY'VE EVEN SEEN GAMEPLAY/STORY!) ...

It's Rockstar. Max PAyne 3 was always very rockstar ish, they published it, already worked with Remedy so I think they know what they're doing.

Oh, and Rockstar haven't made a bad game this generation, or last generation, or since they were formed actually.

Looks great. Remedy raised the bar quite high with MP 1 & 2, but if someone can do sequel for them, it's Rockstar.

I can't really judge whether I love or hate the changes in Max Payne 3 until I see footage of it or actually play it.

Rockstar did really good with Red Dead Redemption so I hope whatever they are doing with Max Payne 3 will turn out to be good.

Judging from the scans (good quality by the way) the game looks better than expected.

Of course Rockstar is able to make AAA games, almost every game is top notch, but people stating Remedy is the better developer obviously dont know what they are talking about.

Rockstar published the game first two Max Payne's and ofcourse Rockstar had a great influence.

I really like to see that Max Payne still has his leather jacket, Hawaiian blouse and hair.
I think he will evolve ino the new Max Payne(bald). Cannot wait for the slo-mo shooting and diving.
Nice to hear that the physics are from the Euphoria engine, which is the best around in my opinion.

Nonono, I'm still sure that Remedy is a much more skilled developer when it comes to TPSs. Rockstar will most likely fuck it up.

I'm not sure about this.

Remember that Max Payne 2, which didn't sell as much as hoped for, re-treated some of the same environments as the first game. It did have the great Fun House level but it didn't blow the first game out of the water in terms of conveying a seedy, lonely, New York.

The third game I think should have some noir parts but also some parts that are an entirely different type of environment.

Max Payne without Remedy is more like 50Cent Game to me , half of the game was story telling now with out Sam Lake who wants to tell us what's next

in 5th picture look at his chipsy short , reminds me farcry 1 but it was blue in FC1 . Kane & Lynch + 50 Cent + Rockstar Vancauver = Max Payne 3
