Here are some new screenshots and two new videos of Warm Gun, the futuristic multiplayer shooter, that based on the Unreal Engine 3 from Epic Games. Warm Gun comes out in may for PC, iPad and iPhone. Take a deep look!
VGBlogger writes: "I don’t fault Emotional Robots for releasing a mini version of their bigger game on a platform that has the potential for millions and millions of players. The game looks fantastic, sounds good and it is obvious that a lot of time and care has been spent developing the world. Unfortunately, competitive first-person shooters on a device with only one input are going to have limited appeal, especially to gamers who are traditionally used to playing shooters with a controller with analog sticks and multiple buttons or a mouse and keyboard."
TouchGen: Emotional Robots’ UDK powered shooter is not a smoking hot gun, or an ice cold gun… It’s a warm gun!
It still amazes me the amount of first person shooters on iOS systems, and how popular they are. It’s not that iOS is not capable, but who would have thought that devices without physical controls would offer up so much choice in this genre.
Pocket Gamer: When you strip it all back, every FPS game just involves running through a maze and timing your button presses when a set of polygons converge in the middle of the screen.
But the best games in the genre do everything they can to distract you from this fact, including explosive set-pieces, beautiful graphics, cinematic story-telling, and relentless action to immerse you in their pixelly worlds.
