I know, the price's crazy. Yeah, it has great features, but why not get a Tritton AX Pro for much cheaper and get pretty much the same sound?

...Or so my cheapness says.

cuz the sound isn't as good, nor the build quality.

i bought a pair of Astro A30's w/mixamp a few months back. $200 for the whole setup. i love the mix amp, and i use it with my PC and PS3. very easy setup and works well with both. the A30's themselves are really nice. sure there may be better headsets out there, but i like the versatility of the A30's. great for gaming at home or on the go, but are also great for listening to music or podcast cast on your MP3/smartphone as well.

a good headset makes a big difference in gaming. if you can buy a complete sound system that is an even better option. i do most of my gaming at night, so surround sound wasn't a very good option for me right now. maybe when i decided to upgrade my tv (next year?) i'll also look into them.

I'm just content with my PX21's although they're breaking down on me, but it's alright. I'm not really an audiophile, so it's no big deal for me.

the tritton ax pros are the best sub 200 dollar true (not that simulated crap that almost all other headsets have) surround headset you can buy, can you get better? yeah but not for 170.

I hate these new headsets you can allways hear other peoples games through the mic needs better sound gates.
