Will there be any differences in Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 across different platforms (PS3, Xbox 360)? If so, can you give any examples?
Yes. The Xbox 360 version of the game will allow players to use songs stored on their hard drive for entrance music, while the PlayStation 3 version will include the unique Interactive Entrance feature. By utilizing the technology of the SIAXIS controller, we're now giving players the option of actually witnessing their favorite Superstar's ring entrance – from the Superstar's perspective. Players can tilt the controller up, down, left and right to turn a Superstar's head as he or she heads to the ring, allowing players for the first time to see the action through the Superstar's eyes.

GM Mode is one feature that definitely needs to return to the current WWE wrestling games especially given the brand split between Raw and Smackdown. 2K has plenty of other classic wrestling games to look to for ideas but the question of whether or not they will make changes still remains unanswered.
I really miss GM mode. Smackdown 1 and 2 are my all time favourites though. Probably because of nostalgia of the wrestlers in those games.
Big fan of World Tour and Revenge. Day of Reckoning was also another stellar one as it played a lot like the N64 games and had a great CAW mode. I made some wild creations in that game.

IMO the worst of the smackdown games. The whole class system, while making sense on paper, just did not work out in gameplay form. It was after 08 that the series started progressively getting better
Well named. Gimmicks. Nothing more! I'd choose a steady framerate over gimmicks any day as been proven in multiplatform games in the past the 360 has them steady and fluid, while the PS3 struggles to get (sport) games playable
