It's a crying shame with the current state of Ghostbusters games. The last game was grear (ok I am biased and I am a huge Ghostbusters fan)and then they decided to go back in time 10 years in there thinking and make this game.

Sad

RyanDJ4783d ago

I do agree that this is nothing compared to the original, but it holds up more than a lot of people give it credit for, I feel. A good 10 buck game, not a 60 dollar epic.

I agree with tron im bias as im a huge ghostbusters fan but i loved the last one. This one is so boring even with my super ghostbusters love this game was still super boring. 85 this is not.

RyanDJ4783d ago

I put it at 85 given a comparison to other things in the genre. It definitely could have been improved, I agree with you there. Perhaps they need to test the waters to see if the franchise still holds water? Even though it rocks, the last GB game didn't sell well if I remember. Price dropped very quickly.

BlackTar1874783d ago

Yea, Definatley was not really intentionally knocking your review. I just had so much more hope for another GB game.

its to bad the other one didn't do better i had a blast playing it. Anyways thanks for the response.

RyanDJ4778d ago

No problem! Maybe if enough people buy this one, it'd convince them to do another full-blown one. And if a movie comes, I guarantee there'll be another game. Whether it's good or not, we'll have to wait and see. :)

Are there not 4 guys?? or is it one of them is of color and advertisers don't want to acknowledge Ernie Hudson in any media, gaming promotion??

out of curiosity i'm asking.

BozoLoco2853d ago

Yeah, that's mentioned in the article. One of the games (I think Real Ghostbusters on Genesis) didn't have Winston at all.

SteamPowered2853d ago

Winston didnt get a whole lot of love in the movies either though. When I watched the movies as an adult, I always felt like he was an afterthought ( I also forgot about the Ghost going down on Ray). He has Zero backstory, just answered the ad in the paper.
He doesnt have much to do with the 2009 Ghostbusters game at all really. I hear 3X more lines from Ray and Venkman.

BozoLoco2853d ago

Disagree. In the second one, maybe, where he had a few scenes just make him feel like "part of the group", but he has important lines and scenes in the first film.

When he and Ray are in the car talking about the "end of days" - that's a pretty powerful scene. Very eerie.

Also the time at the Mayor's office, he delivers one of the best lines in Ghostbusters history.

"I've seen shit that'll turn you white!" It's hilarious. The face on the Mayor's helpers when he says that...cracks me up every time.

I think he really compliments the other three well in the first film. They were all sucky, boring characters in the second, it wasn't just him, but the script was more desperate to make him seem relevant.

But Ernie Hudson's delivery and character's presence in the first film I felt were spot on. It was a nice balancing act, because he was really the only level-headed guy on the team, whereas the other three were really just quacks.

I got it for $5 new from Best Buy during the holidays. Not sure why so many people hate it, unless they fixed what ever was wrong with it. It takes some getting use it, but I'm enjoying it.

"had fun with green lantern.....and nobody made him play tho it..... "

Yeah, nobody MAKES reviewers play games.
/s

Angry Joe is about as funny as the Big Bang series times ten! (interesting fact: 0 times 10 is still zero)

SilentNegotiator4498d ago

I meant "Big Bang Theory", that unfunny show.

acemonkey4498d ago

im taking that ur a huge angry joe fan and on his forums......to me his some random guy posting videos on review games and movies......most of his reviews on games i disagree and movies also..... and far as saying his funny its your opinion just like his opinion on the game.....so chill with CAPS....

SilentNegotiator4498d ago (Edited 4498d ago )

First of all, "caps"? Really? I made ONE word all caps because this site doesn't offer the use of italics. I have to emphasize somehow.

Second of all.....is that really what you got out of my comment? I really hope English is not your first language because I made it pretty clear that I didn't think Angry Joe was funny in the slightest.
