IO Interactive to Officially Announce New Game Soon; Hitman 5 Imminent

IO Interactive have just announced that they will be revealing their next game very soon – wildly speculated to be Hitman 5.

Yeah I was playing the older games the other day. Its a shame theres not a HD remake of the original games out there. I have been waiting for Hitman 5 for years. This news brings a tear to my eyes lol. This is my most loved game franchise. I will be preordering this when its 1st announced.

Blood money was amazing I just hope they don't change the game too much from that. Don't piss on it and make it too easy for everyone. I hope they keep the same formula they had from Blood Money, the newspaper, weapon upgrades etc.

My hopes for additions to the game is DLC so we get more missions. I loved replaying the Blood Money missions but it would be nice to have more missions in time. Can't really think of anything else I would like but I'm sure there is.

That's sad, too. I really like Lynch and Kane.
Well, at least, I like the concept of the game.
Specifically the multiplayer, no other game like it.
That I'm aware of, anyway.

But, Hitman is an awesome series, I have high hopes.
Hopefully they can add some bangin graphics to go along with it.

Action RPG, FPS and Stealth Action... I think you meant genres, they may share likeness here and there but those are fundamentally 3 different games...

Anyway, this year is being great indeed, I don't know about Crysis 2 (didn't liked the first one that much, still have to play the second) but this year shall have something for everyone in every genre.

Love the Hitman games! Easily right up there with Metal Gear and Splinter Cell as the kings of stealth.

The fact you could sneak into a party, poison some champagne, dress up as a waiter and hand deliver it to your target was amazing back in the day. The hotel, the spa, the opera, the rave, the suburbs, just so many class levels.

I loved how there were many ways to do missions. I loved going back through and playing different missions in different ways.
Ill play a level trying not to get caught and all, and then come back and just go guns blazing, or just trying to find a new way to kill the target

So true. No other game does "social stealth" like Hitman.
I've only played Blood Money but it made me an instant fan. I hope they do a HD rerelease package. Would buy it just to replay those opera, hotel, and New Orleans levels again

Damn, I REALLY hope that the announcement is regarding "Hitman V", the clues would seem to suggest so and hopefully they aren't intented to be misleading. As I have stated in the past, whilst many gamers were dissapointed with the "Kane & Lynch" titles, it does show potentially great gameplay mechanics for the Fifth "Hitman". In previous installments, when in a sticky situation (e.g discovered with a dead guard, trigering an alarm and gunfight) the combat, whilst unintended and most likely triggering gamers to reload their Savefiles, felt false in what would otherwise feel very serious. Whilst the inclusion of a first person sight is great, it doesn't prevent the combat from feeling false, with guards standing still in no way ducking for cover from bullets, and neither were you given the option. Implementing a cover system like that included in Kane & Lynch would be great and add another fantastic layer to the game.

Goddamn! Can't wait for this to come out! graphically ot was already awesome for its time, so now its should be up to par, but game play can now be much more intense with current gen! PS Moves = Fiberwire anyone? lol most likely not

I also really hope that it is not a console exclusive. I have a PS3 and it would be devastating to see it being a 360 or PC exclusive.
