Lol ain't that the truth. A 9.69 means this guy puts Homefront with some of the best games this gen:

Mass Effect 2
Dead Space 2
Uncharted 2
Gear of War 1 & 2
God of War 3
Red Dead Redemption

That's just the top of my head. This reviewer wants me to believe the POS Homefront is as good as those games?

You have to remember that quality is largely subjective. You cannot prove that games like Mass Effect, Dead Space, or Red Dead: Redemption are "better" than Homefront.

I'd give it a 5/10 for the SP and a 9/10 for the MP. 7/10 is about right in my book. Since I'm a sucker for large scale teambased MP I'm loving the game.

A tip for 360 gamers is to install the game. Eliminates all of the texture pop-ins.

i love the single player John Milius is an excellent writer.....tho i wished it was long especially for his caliber of writing

as for the multiplayer it doesn't come close to being battlefield but its more sound and functional then call of duty....and the fact THQ has been working on the servers and expanding things is a plus knowing call of duty it'll take them a month before they even pretend to notice and long to actually do something

Are we still going on about Homefront. It's an average game. And only because of the half decent MP. I thought the campaign was a demo for the next one. A 6 or 7 is fair. It's no Painkiller.

How the hell does a game get .69 of a point? God I hate alphanumerical review systems. Just talk about the games good points and bad points and let the people decide if that is a good or bad game.

Despite liking the game even I cannot see it being higher than a 8 and no more than a 6 or a 7 at this point in time with the freezes and matchmaking messed up.

home front is awesome you get to turn your ps3 or 360 off and back on at least five times in the multiplayer before you get a game.then kicked for idle thats pure genius in the lobby before you start,thats even with a 138mb patch at the start of loading the f@ckin disc.the graphics are late ps2 at best which i wouldn,t have minded if the so called multiplayer worked its just really,really bad i got stung big time on this one.trade it quick as you can this is terrible.back to killzone3

Wow I have the PC version and have none of those issues that you have, multiplayer works like a dream, servers have so many options, no drop in FPS, and the game runs on low hardware. Seems like Digital extremes did a better job porting it than the developers.The only issue that I have is that I was required to download nearly 5 gigs of the game even though I had disc version, I mean you complain of a 138mb update, that's nothing.

Homefront Dev Addresses Freezing Issues

Xbox 360 and PS3 Homefront players are reporting freezing issues while playing the game in multiplayer. PS3 players have flocked to the Homefront forums and are claiming that the gameplay will crash when exiting pre and post game lobbies. This problem on the PlayStation 3 is forcing users to have to hard reset there consoles to proceed. Jeremy Grenier of Kaos Studios addressed the PlayStation problems on the company forums telling the upset fans that the team is looking into it.

I'm looking into the reports of PS3 freezing issues and will provide an update once I've spoken with all the teams. Will need a bit of time, but in the interim - thanks a lot for your patience!"

PlayStation users aren't the only ones being affected freezing problems with the game. Xbox 360 users are also complaining that the game is freezing right after the KAOS Studios logo displays on startup. This might be an even worse problem because the main menu cannot be accessed and therefore the game can't be played at all.

"We're looking into the issue that is happening to a few users, once I have an update it will be posted here. Thanks for your patience! In the meantime, those experiencing the issue: If you could please post the exact step by step process of how it occurred, that would be appreciated."

Of course gamers are used to multiplayer experiences being far from perfect upon release. I can only think of a handful of games that gotten through launch without a hitch in recent memory. So hang tight Homefront fans, more servers and freezing fixes are incoming.
