Have You Played... - Darksiders

From a majority vote, Darksiders was to be the next game for this week's "Have You Played...". Critics gave this game mixed scores, while actual gamers seemed to enjoy it a lot more. This was one game where religion was brought into it, but there was no preaching, there was no torture around the corner, it was a game that you were able to play casually and actually have a great time... even though the world ended.

Darksiders is an entirely single player experience, but is a free roam game in a sense. I say that because it's often rough getting around.

darksiders was awesome. But man those puzzle parts was hella confusing. Never had to resource youtube guides for a game as much as I did for this game.

Can't wait for the sequel. This is actually one good IP THQ has and needs to promote more. Excellent game.

the castle towards the end with the portal gun was probably the most obnoxiously gratifying sequence of puzzles in the entire game

I just bought it on the PS3 (i've already played it on the 360) and I just bought it on Steam :P Beforehand, I only rented the 360 version because I didnt have enough money to buy it. Im gonna make sure I platinum this game if it kills me.

Yea, it's pretty good so far. I have a kind of weird keyboard so I'm thinking about using one of my 360 controllers for the rest of the game, but that's not a knock against the game at all. I just think it might suit a controller better.

Great game, my only complaint is that I didn' t like much the art design, but that' s just a matter of tastes, the game is really really good.

All four horsemen of apocalypse will be playable in the sequel.The ending indicated that.Great game but dumb thq didn't promote it that much.

Honestly, I wasn't that crazy about it. Everything just felt like it was ripped from better games that I already owned. Then again, I enjoyed Singularity, even though that pretty much did the same thing. If it's still on sale on Steam, than it could be worth the price.

Singularity is pretty awesome. I bought it for 14 bucks about a month ago, money well spent if you ask me.

Darksiders was surprisingly awesome.

I had written it off when I first heard about it, but then two things convinced me to check it out: One of my favorite artists, Joe Madureira had done the art, and two, it was a mix of God of War and Zelda (although it leans more towards Zelda than GoW).

I'm so glad I bought it. It's the definition of a sleeper hit, and I got a free copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla for buying Darksiders new.

I'm actually looking forward to the sequel, as the story was pretty well told, if not the most original and fresh idea in gaming. Solid title all around, and I certainly recommend it to anyone that's looking for a good action game.

2010 saw a bit of a resurgence in the action genre, and I'm glad to see Darksiders getting the credit it deserves.

Good game with good and diverse enemies. The main down side, in my opinion, are the scripted boss battles.
