Now those games offer hundreds of hours of gameplay, I'm sorry pal but a Call of Duty clone with a five hour campaign doesn't.

For god sake it isn't a CoD clone! Clone would imply exactly the same, or at the very least incredibly similar. In Homefront there are vehicles for one and also much larger maps, so on that alone how can it be considered a CoD clone?

I haven't even played the game and nor do I intend to in the near future, but it isn't a CoD 'clone' as can be seen by watching videos of it in action!

Firstly I was using the phrase in the same way that for many years 'first person shooters' were just referred to as 'Doom Clones' (you wouldn't call Duke nukem 3D a clone in the strictest sense would you?).

And secondly I HAVE played this game and the setting, plot, style, and shooting mechanics are all extremely reminiscent of CoD. I would gladly describe this game as an extended section of modern warfare 2's suburban areas.

Personally I cant get past the trees in this game..... well alot of the textures and graphical limitations. the only thing worth looking at is the damn sky LOL. Everything else "everything" is mehh.

Graphics cards seem to struggle a lot with trees for some reason, they always seem to be the weakest part of a games graphics.

Stop this bitching ffs.. Every site out there said that Reach, COD and Kane and Lynch were short.. Guess what? I finished each one of them in two weeks!
If you people are losers that have nothing to do with their lives, and spend 6 hours per day playing video games then yeah it will be short for you..
But if you play it on VERY HARD, 1-2 hours everyday, trust me it will be longer.

Ah, I think I'll wait for the sequel..

Why? Well.. 'cause of what the dude said here:

CVG: "If campaign length becomes a major criticism among fans, would you make the sequel longer?"

"Yeah. It's a balance really. So if we were doing a single-player only game - and there are some of those out there of course - then you're talking maybe a 20-hour single-player campaign.

I think going forward we'd certainly work on extending it a few hours, but going past the 10-hour mark and doing a category-leader multiplayer game... you just have to balance your development resources there.

I think the main thing is do people feel that they got enjoyment out of the single-player campaign and enough of it? So we'll see how it comes out and what the gaming audience has to say about it.

But we also want to focus on a large-scale multiplayer game and that they get a lot of hours play out of that as well - because that's infinitely more replayable than single-player anyway and you're going to spend the bulk of your time there. So we really want to make sure that's robust and deep."

Home front is all about multiplayer and it is way better than cod blk ops.Yes the single player is 5 realtime hours and what game isnt nowadays that is also online. killzone 3, bad co.2 and black ops took about the same time to beat. The worlds in homefront are cool and San franciso and the golden gate bridge single player level is crazy cool. The game isnt about headshots so a person that is helping out can get batle points without constantly killing for headshots. In other words ave. joes have a chance to fly planes and fly copters and tanks right off the bat and yet experience people can still do whatever they want.I love it and play it on the xbox but I love killzone 3 online too. cod single player was cool but online sucks on ps3 . I havent played blk ops since homefront came out.
