Wow. Theres some major CoD phobia going around this website. I don't like CoD either but just because a game has a few similarities to it doesn't mean its a "CoD clone". That phrase has been thrown around waaaaay too much lately....

Anyway, the multiplayer is total opposite of CoD.

Yeah. Homefront looks like it has taken the good things about cod. Nothing in the vid shows that it hasn't taken the bad too :P

First guy to get it right the story is driven in the same type of direction imo.Set plays etc this isn't cod at all and if its copying HL2 thats not a bad thing.

Look at the first 10 minutes of both, go on look.

You can VERY VERY easily create a paralel.

1. Start of in vehicle
1.5. While in Vehicle speak to someone about life, life in the country
2. Hear of or witness some case of abuse by the hands of the people in power
3. Hear of the rebellion/uprising
4. Suddenly join uprising
5. Receive pistol
6. Pick up slightly better weapons
7. Fight against the controlling fraction
8. Find a more powerful group of enemies that you MUST avoid ( Tank/Walker ) but will inevitably fight.

And this is what I'm guessing what happens next...

9. Talk to said leader of rebellion
10. Find yourself in countryside, this is to create a sense of alone in overwhelming odds, while you question the rebellion a bit
11. Join up with the rebellion
12. Defeat the enemy you met at 8
13. Stop some awful plot.

They are if you put them up side by side and slow down/speed up the shooting section which Half-life does better since your fighting smaller groups with a greater sense of danger your also fighting alone they would be IDENTICAL.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I almost did a wikipedia on homefront to find out if it was made with source. The art-style makes it look a lot like Half life 2.

The shooting seemed way too accurate but meh, that would hardly ruin a game. The grenade throwing angle is a bit crap, thats going to get me killed a lot. Also, you can just shrug off an RPG right next to you? :P

I'll get this if the PC version isn't a bad port, looks pretty good.

I have finished the game. The ps3 version SUCKS Balls!! it looks horrible!! if u want to play online u will need a code that comes with the original game, if u buy it used u need to buy the code. you can only go up to lvl 5 in multiplayer without the code. running speed Is SLOWW AS HELLL. it takes so long to get places. the campaign is only like 6 hours and the ending is so messed up!!

I liked what I saw.. I like how you get hurt easily if you trying going out gunz blazing, you need cover.. and the part where people were getting killed especially the little boy watching his parents get killed, that actually got to me..

God this game is so nice, I can't wait for it to come in the mail from GmaeFly. I would have been really nice if it was running on Cryengine 3 or Killzone engine.

i can understand a far-fetched story line... but this is totally insane. A completely impossible scenario, so ill have to pass on the game.

im sure USA would sit while Korea would take South korea or japan... And eventually usa gets taken over itself... All while it has so many nukes it could blow up the entire world.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Watched a guy playing it on Justin.tv last night. Doesn't look too bad. The lack of co-op campaign turns it into a rental for me.
