Actually, The Monster Hunter Team Didn’t Want The Hunter In Marvel Vs. Capcom 3

Siliconera: I spoke with Seth Killian, Community Manger, about "what ifs" for Marvel vs. Capcom 3′s roster and balancing patches. The most surprising part of the interview involved Monster Hunter.

Why not? They didn't want to rub it in PS3 owners faces again like they did with Lost Planet 2? I doubt the case was them not wanting it in the game. It probably just wasn't possible some way because Crapcom never fails to screw over PS3 owners every chance they get.

I agree. The dead rising 2 dlc should have been released for both consoles. Now i don't mind temporally releasing the dlc on one console for a set amount of time but never releasing it on the other console is just a bad move for capcom. I really hated capcom for that. Both DLC expansions add too the story and it a huge loss for PS3 owners that bought the game.

Since MK got Kratos, who knows in future MVC3 could get that guy from Asura's wrath.

FiftyFourPointTwo4801d ago

or Kratos himself in MvC3 as a PS3 exclusive character since Capcom is the one who published GOW3 in Japan.

Yeah I know, wont happen. :P

Just reading about Gene busts my balls a bit. "Amaterasu beat him out".... I like Amaterasu and all, but come on. Gene is the fucking man. He would have fit this game like a glove.

Bubble cause you tell the truth.

FiftyFourPointTwo4801d ago

Whatever. I'll be waiting for maybe two months and see if that Frank West and Dr. Octopus leak is true.

AGamerOfConsoles4801d ago

Its possibly true. I don't know of any point in a fighting game where code has been found and the cuts never made it later (either by DLC or a more annoying super version).

I think they will be announced at Captivate since that is a good time to announce more DLC.

Does that mean a monster might get in? I would really like they. Fingers crossed.

Every Marvel vs. Capcom Character, Together At Last

Artist Chris Cayco, who we’ve featured a few times before on Kotaku, grew up playing Marvel vs. Capcom (and Marvel vs. Street Fighter) games. His tribute to this, which took him over 175 hours, was to combine every single character to ever appear in Capcom’s crossover series in the one enormous image.

Every Capcom Vs. Game Ranked

As common as it is today, it is hard to believe that there was a time where gaming franchises crossing over was just a pipe dream. Capcom broke down the wall, but they took the combination of some of the most unlikely of franchises and made it the norm.

Whether it was a colossal successful partnership with Marvel Comics or a collaboration with rivals Namco and SNK, the “Vs.” series brought unforgettable experiences to the fighting genre.
