I wish they re-release the old one in PSN and maybe add move support

wwm0nkey4808d ago

Tell me when they make a real Ape Escape and not whatever this is.

jack_burt0n4808d ago

It makes total sense all those ufo's ppl seeing are full of escaped monkeys.

This game is alot of fun hope they keep the jp voicework.

Lekumkee4808d ago

Wow that was horrible. A bunch of mini games?! How underwhelming, I thought it would be a action adventure game using the MOVE, not that horrible mess.

wwm0nkey4808d ago

Sucks too because the series really would work AMAZINGLY with the MOVE yet its used for this trash.

jack_burt0n4808d ago (Edited 4808d ago )

This is a damn psn game its hardly trash, and if u want a full ape escape buy this one to support the devs.

Do you own a move controller?

@kumkee
Sequels are developed based on a franchises commercial appeal, if it has none they will can it, releases like this help keep teams in some kind of financial stability while developing other projects, understand retard?

Lekumkee4808d ago

That's the most retarded thing I've ever read. Go buy a POS mini game to show support!? How does that help me?!

wwm0nkey4808d ago

See this suffers from what I like to call the "Paradise effect"

Might be a good game but has a IP tacked onto it which makes me hate it.

Seriously if this was called something else I would be fine with it, if Burnout Paradise was called Need for Speed: paradise I would have been fine with that too.

I would MUCH prefer a classic style Ape Escape game done with the move.

garos824808d ago

yeah i totally wished it went to its roots and make it a fun platformer using the move as the gadgets would have been a win win situation. oh well sony cant please me 100% of the time

PS Plus' Japanese PS1 Classics on the PS4 & PS5 are NTSC Versions

The PlayStation Brahs:

"After controversy hit the launch of the all-new PS Plus launch due to PAL versions of PS1 classics being used, Sony has done right in Japan by using the NTSC versions of their old school games."

If you're in Japan... unfortunately most of us are in the US or Europe.

Orchard707d ago (Edited 707d ago )

Unfortunately it looks like this still won't be the case for the US: https://twitter.com/the_mar...

The reason the JP one is NTSC is because it's the only version of the original which has Japanese localization. Other NTSC regions are still getting PAL games.

Still time for Sony to correct this ahead of the US launch though - keep up the pressure.

Christopher707d ago

I'll wait and see since the primary reason for other regions is the language support. The U.S. doesn't need the same language support as other regions. You could be right, but it's a wait-and-see game.

Orchard707d ago

Agreed. It's a wait and see game at this point. US could go either way, Europe is likely stuck with PAL, at least outside of the UK (although I assume Sony will blast the same version to all European stores).

I think he's basing his assumption on the US around the fact that in Asian regions where PS+ has launched where titles were not localized and were provided in English, they have defaulted to the PAL version. But one would assume that NTSC is the 'native' version for North America.

To be honest, it would be nice if they would just upload multiple versions & let us download the version we want. It's weird that this is even a problem. Also, for Europe, plenty of Europeans are good enough or fluent in English and may not care about localization, especially if it means sacrificing performance/responsiveness.

"Still time for Sony to correct this ahead of the US launch though - keep up the pressure."

Unless Sony themselves (not a twitter user with 400 followers) confirm PAL versions for NA, then there is nothing to correct and no need to keep up any pressure. Premature outrage is a bad look.

Its contstant and annoying. Its litterly killing gaming for me and I think thats the intended effect.
