I'm playing the game for the first time right now, PS3 version. Its great but the German Bunker in Chapter 2 won't load.

AmigoSniped4817d ago

Game is interesting and I am goin gto look into picking it up

nycredude4817d ago

This is a low score for this game. It should easily be 8 or above. If you are sick of the usual bs shooter with no story this will be a breath of fresh air. Awesome game!

maxcavsm4817d ago

IGN gave it a 9.1 back in June 2007. Try giving it a 9.0 now. It's a solid title, but compared to what is coming out now...

I look forward seeing a fresh coat of paint on this frachise.

gorebago4817d ago

i bought it for $5.99 at gamestop two weeks ago. can't go wrong with that price.

maxcavsm4817d ago

Woof. Absolutely great deal then.

BattleAxe4817d ago

I bought this game right when it came out originally. I loved it on the first play through with the exception of the World War One parts of the game, they were a bit too strange for me, and not alot of fun. Other then that, the game was solid. I did beat the game a second time and I didn't like it quite as much, but I think this game should get an 8/10.

maxcavsm4817d ago

See, I thought th WWI parts were the unique part of the game. I mean, how many games do you go from modern day shooter, kill yourself, then wind up in some WWI trenchline? Not many.

BattleAxe4817d ago (Edited 4817d ago )

True, but I just think that they nailed the ambience so well in the New York City parts of the game that I didn't like being taken out of that to go into some desolate WW1 area.

Sounds like a remaster of The Darkness game may be in the works

The CEO of Nightdive Studios has said in a tweet that the game is currently on the list for a modern update.

isarai261d ago

Oh I'm sold already, Nightdive does really solid remasters, and to this day I still love the darkness

Leeroyw261d ago

Mike Patton of Faith No More did the voice too. It was such a great game.

Quetzll261d ago

Had no idea and i absolutely love FNM and Patton. Gonna go back and play this game.

Snookies12261d ago

The Darkness was awesome! Here's hoping a remaster might lead to a new game!

RaidenBlack261d ago

Darkness 1 is coming to PC! .... OMG!

isarai261d ago

That honestly might be the biggest W here. Darkness with RTX would be neat to see

I_am_Batman261d ago

Excellent news. The Darkness is one of my all-time favorite games and the sequel is great too. I've just recently had a great time replaying them on my PS3. Unfortunately it's kinda hard to recommend them these days, because they're stuck on PS3 and 360 so a remaster would certainly be appreciated. Nightdive has been killing it lately.

DefenderOfDoom2261d ago

Awesome, I loved The Darkness made by Starbreeze who a lot them are now developers at Machine Games . Yes , again thank you Nightdive !

Dagexon260d ago

Now I'm hoping they remaster more of starbreeze's games. Namely the chronicles of riddick games

DefenderOfDoom2260d ago

Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay , is one my favorite gaming experience I ever had . Great game .!

ModsDoBetter261d ago

Excellent games.
Recently ran through The Darkness 2 on PS3 again.

I hated the switch in style when it first came out but they're both amazing games.

2K Support Hacked, Warning Issued To Affected Users

The help desk platform used by 2K Games for its customer support has been hacked, with malicious emails sent to certain players.

JBplusVB602d ago

I was one of those users that got an email. Good thing I didn't open it. The email is from actual 2k support so I'm sure many people opened them. Scary stuff Take Two. You guys should invest some of your billions of dollars into some advancements for network security. I wonder who's getting hacked next at Take Two. First GTA 6 and now this.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad614d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g614d ago (Edited 614d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

gurp14d ago

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games
