Ex-Bungie team Moonshot has released a trailer for its first project, upcoming sci-fi side-scroller Fallen Frontier. It contains space, but no Master Chief, which will please you or not.
CFD!'s Rob Rich went hands-on at PAX East with the upcoming release from Moonshot Games:
"Not too long ago, the world found out that a few folks from Bungie set off to do their own thing. Not too long ago, their budding company, Moonshot Games, announced their first title: Fallen Frontier. Not too long ago, I got to play it.
"It’s a classic tale of revenge: a law enforcement officer from Earth travels to one of the frontier worlds of Alpha Centauri with killing on his mind. The who, where, and why haven’t been dished out yet, but we do know that it’s going to be a 2D action/adventure title that shares more than a few similarities to genre cornerstones such as Shadow Complex and, of course, Metroid. Which is awesome."
Gaming Update sat down at PAX East to take a look at Moonshot Games freshman offering, Fallen Frontier, and found a genre-breaking old school game with some impressive new ideas and an approach that makes the game a stand-out among much more traditional offerings.
