We’ve been hearing rumors about a new Manhunt game for a while now. Last year there was even mention that the third game in the series would be an exclusive for the Playstation 3 and utilizing the recently released Move controller to perform actions much in the same way they were in the Nintendo Wii release of Manhunt 2. The rumors are popping up again regarding the game from within Take 2, except the whispers don’t have the title slated as an exclusive."
The Manhunt games have a special place in gaming history. Surrounded by controversy, the two games in this hyper-violent series were always in the spotlight. But let’s forget about all that for a second and focus on why Rockstar Games should focus on bringing us Manhunt 3.
I'd love to see Manhunt 3. I do wonder if Nintendo would pick it up for the Switch, especially after they gave the greenlight for Manhunt 2 on the Wii.
Don't see it happening. As bad as Manhunt 1's release was, I think what with everyone being perpetually offended on the Internet now, investors would see it as too risky.
I loved the first one though, I remember feeling genuinely scared playing it when it came out
People get offended far to easily these days, those peas are too green, these chips contain far to much potato. I feel a new manhunt would just bring an unnecessary spotlight onto the gaming industry.
Gamer Headlines writes: "As Valentine’s Day is upon us, taking a deep breath and drinking a glass of wine to reduce your stress of being alone on this day is important. However, if you have the thirst for blood and want to express your emotional state through virtual killing and slaughtering, we here at Gamer Headlines may have just the games for you. Be warned, as the following top 10 contains some of the most brutally violent video games that we have tried to play."
Conan was pretty violent. Can't think of another game where intestines spew out of people when you cut them in half.
They mentioned No More Heroes but not Ninja Gaiden 2 (at least the 360 ver)?
NG2 is bloody violent.
Much of the buzz surrounding Take-Two has been over the recent release of Grand Theft Auto V. What you may not know, though, is that Take-Two just filed a dispute over the domain name valiant-ent.tv, which used to be a fake snuff website used to promote the psychological horror video game Manhunt. The domain name and website were owned and operated by Rockstar Games for years, until the company let the name expire in 2011 and its new owner launched a petition site aimed at having Manhunt 3 developed. Why go after the name after more than 2 years since it changed owners? Is Manhunt 3 in the works?
I loved Manhunt 1. The Piggy guy with the chainsaw haunted my nightmares as a kid lol. I would like to see a 3, but I doubt it would happen.
I can see it happening somewhere in the future, but yeah i guess this could be theyre next game? who knows :p
Nice, i'm expecting the next R* game to be either Bully 2, Agent or maybe this
Oh please make this happen. I know this won't be a popular opinion, but I once said I would have preferred manhunt 3 to GTA5. Luckily GTA5 turned out awesomly but I still want another manhunt over any other Rockstar game. I have my doubts though. The graphics would be to good new and the game to gory. I don't think we'll get another one. Here's hoping I'm wrong.
Not flaming, but if it lands on Xbox 360 too, it will limit Move support just like DVD9 limits BD on multi-platform titles.
and why is the Wii being left out when MH 2 was on the Wii?
I was never a fan of this game, and with all the awesome games coming this year and next, it'll get lost in the bargain section. Move on Rockstar......
I really hope we get a Manhunt 3 sometime that would be great.
There's no point in making this game if they have to cut back on all the violence like in Manhunt 2. I'm not saying that the violence makes the game, but it felt hollow without.
