Its been a long time since we had such interesting protagonists, Razael and Kain..sorely missed.

ZombieAssassin4815d ago (Edited 4815d ago )

Almost brings a tear to my eyes thinking about how we will most likely never get another game in the series, even if we did though it wouldn't be the same without Amy Hennig.

Pozzle4814d ago

Imagine if Naughty Dog/Amy Hennig somehow got the rights to the series again. Gamegasm!

ZombieAssassin4814d ago

If that ever happened the day it released would be the happiest day in my gaming life.

It was epic back then! Creepy as hell. I'm still waiting for that HD reboot of the Metal Gear Solid trilogy though.

A Classic, one of my top five games of all time

Dear gamers,

Whilst we realise many of you are desperate for the good ol' games of Eidos, we also realise we're complete bastards when it comes to money.

Since we are struggling to make decent games, we therefore will be selling pieces of your childhood for the low price of twice as much as every other PSOne game (£8).

Go fuck yourselves,

The Square Enix Childhood Memories Raping Department

kasasensei4815d ago

So true.
And for May or June, you'll magically have access to this game at -50% if you are an Honorable Member of the Elite Playstation Plus Guild.

This is Love Exploitation.

Damn...

Corrwin4815d ago (Edited 4815d ago )

I am still shocked at the way they offered the first Tomb Raider 2, weeks early to plus members.

No discount, no offer. We should have apparently been glad we get to fork out £8 before the rest of PSN.

SE have their head up their ass, and I suspect it's been that way for quite some time.

The 7 Best Vampire Games: Embrace the Night

Vampire games are making a comeback of late, and gamers hoping this is a new trend should look back at the 7 best vampire games ever made.

SimpleSlave37d ago (Edited 37d ago )

What is a list? A miserable little pile of scribbles.

A Best Vampire Game list and no Bloodborne. A bold choice, indeed.

The_Hooligan37d ago

IMO, I wouldn't consider bloodborne a vampire game. Long story short, It's more about the side effects of the blood experiment and the influence of the red moon, than actually being a vampire.

SimpleSlave37d ago (Edited 37d ago )

Yes, Bloodborne is about Vampires. It's not just the undertones, or the imagery or the obvious parallels, it's pretty much everything and then some. Here's the thing, Bram Stoker's Dracula is also not a Vampire novel. Why? Because technically Vampires from folklore were something else.

But based on our updated view of what Vampires are, informed in one way or another by Bram Stoker's Dracula, Nosferatu The Vamprye, and many other stories, and combined with From Software's own interpretation, we can say with confidence that Bloodborne IS a Vampire story. Sure, there are other elements, but the central narrative is pretty much Vampires. Which would make it THE Vampire game. I mean, Cainhurst Castle. Anyways, that's how I see it.

But to each their and we'll agree to disagree.

MEGANE37d ago

Thats the best Vampire game ever, but enough talk, have at you!.

SimpleSlave36d ago (Edited 36d ago )

Absolutely... Now, die monster! You don't belong in this thread!

I've lost all hype for Bloodlines 2. It's going to be an action game.

Barlos36d ago

No Blood Omen? Even today it's one of my favourite vampire games. We could really do with a release on modern platforms.

Relientk7736d ago

I really enjoyed Vampyr. The combat is a little clunky and could use some work. However, the story, characters, dialog. setting, and pretty much everything else in the game is great.

7 Game Series in Need of a Reboot

Rebooting seems to be all the rage these days, so here's Chit Hot's picks for seven game series that need a reboot.

RavenWolfx340d ago

Dino Crisis and Legacy of Cain I can get behind. The others, meh. I would also love to see a Remake of Resident Evil: Outbreak, Legend of Dragoon, and Jade Empire.

SpacedDuck340d ago

I absolutely love Banjo Kazooie but holy crap is a Dino Crisis remaster such a massive opportunity for Capcom.

The engine they have used for the RE Remakes is perfect and it would be so cool to see the first two games remade.

isarai340d ago

Mercenaries, True Crime, Dead to Rights, Max Payne, Manhunt, Duke Nukem, Prince of Persia, Burnout, Matrix, Outrun, Jet Set Radio, Otogi, Kenka Banco, Syphon Filter, Power stone, San Francisco Rush, and despite not being a series, BLACK

banger88340d ago

The Saints Row reboot needs a reboot. Saints Row 2 holds up quite well, but the original needs a remake at least. Keep everything exactly the same, just with better graphics.
