At this point, I wouldn't mind if they revealed inFamous 2 multiplayer. I've seen that the single player has not been dumbed down one bit, and it will be amazing. So because of that, a multiplayer component will be welcomed. Had they announced this the same time as the game, I would have been skeptical.

What? We havent lost Insomniac. They were never First Party. Sony owns Ratchet and Resistance and Insomniac confirmed that they'd still make these in the future. It's up to Sony to let them. I'm sure the same applies here. Although it would be great if they were First Party only.

I think that a few drops of water won't short him out. Remember nothing happened to him when he stood in puddles in Infamous 1. It was the ponds and sea water that did him in. And I think it's funny with people saying the multiplayer is probably tacked on. That is exactly what they said about UC2

But it must be noted that Sony does not own Sucker Punch, therefore they are free to make new IPs for whomever they please. I doubt they would right now since they probably have an Infamous 3 coming after this one, but a new IP very well may happen after the assumed trilogy is complete.

2 years? probably not multiplayer then but to be honest would this be such a bad thing? I think Dead Space 2 proved to me that strong single player games can provide a nice add on multiplayer experience without sacrificing the single player experience. the single player was awesome in DS2 and the multiplayer was a nice little add on. the multiplayer wasn't trying to replace a COD or KZ3 in online just the create a cool little side experience which i felt it accomplished so i'm kinda hoping for a multiplayer feature from sucker punch. the gameplay videos have shown so far the infamous 2 is every bit better then it predecessor.

anyway as other have suggested i'm guessing a movie to seems logical with the comic book type appeal

This is great news. A very unexpected and well kept secret. No rumours at all about this. So Sony extends it's Create Share Play model even further. Let's see how good the creation tool is. To be honest I was asking myself what will Infamous 2 bring that the first one didn't? I thought maybe a deeper Karma system, as well as the usual graphics and level upgrades we've come to expect. However this makes it even more interesting and appealing! I've had it preordered even before this announcement. I'm glad I did. Talk about a Sucker Punch to the competition!
