A unreliable source will always be unreliable until change happens. So what if the PS3 got more sales than the 360? The real question is how accurate are the stats. Isn't that the importance of news articles anyways? No bs just give us real info is what we all want.

If VG Chartz says PS3 outsold 360 by 1 million units... then its just logical to assume PS3 actually outsold 360 by 1.5 to 2 million units.

Remember, VG Chartz updates their 360 sales according to Microsoft's reports... but they never do for Sony's reports.

I remember VG Chartz undertracking PS3 sales by over 3 million units at one point.

really VGChartz? Ps3 only outsold 360 by 800k? That's funny because everyone else seems to think that it ousold them by 2.3 million. I don't see why people still try to use VGChartz like it's some credible source. It just baffles me to no end.

Didnt believe VGchartz's totally unreliable chart. The gap between ps3 and xbox 360 is alot wider. However they got the position correct though. PS3 3rd Xbox360 4th.

According to VGC PS3 is selling more than 360.
According to VGC the dead systems (PSP+PS2) are selling more than 360.
According to VGC Sony consoles (PS2+PS3) are selling more than Nintendo's (Wii).
According to VGC PC sales represent 1,5% of worlwide software sales.

Lads, VG chartz is not talking facts, its talking estimates and if you stop for one second and actually compare the estimates to 'facts' you'll see VG is pretty reasonable. They have a method of stating these numbers. Although at time estimates-as the word implies-are not always accurate, they are readjusted and updated continously. Thus, the PS3 outselling the 360 not just for 2010 but I think the last 2 years is accurate.

Actually they dont adjust them. The gap between the two is only 2.7 million as of january 2011 yet you don't see that being represented on their charts. I dont even know how they configure Eu sales with all the different currencies.
