'Tis okay. :)

Lag isn't really an issue nowadays

even with the slow average internet speeds we get here in the UK, i rarely have an online match ruined by lag.

Speed-Racer4821d ago

A lot of ppl always complain that folks are hacking or what not. They should read this, because it explains why lag makes shots in FPS games look so fucked up.

blahblah4821d ago (Edited 4821d ago )

except they failed in basics of explanation.

network bandwidth means shit, servers very little unless they are
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
nowadays every computer can serve really decent number of people and clusters are usual thing and really cheap

lag is mainly concentrated to distance as network speed is ommited with light speed. and for trip from eu to usa there is still 0.5 sec average for one trip. if game makes use of localized servers, game is good. centralized like PSN... shit and call to lag

you could as well have 100TB internet and game would run the same as on adequate network. no game uses large packages to transfer data

Speed-Racer4821d ago

Some ISPs should be blamed as well, their base ping to any external server might sometimes be craptastic to begin with. For instance my shitty ISP has a 250ms ping to any server, so I barely enjoy any good game unless I find a very low ping server (which is rare)

AhnnQuirajj4821d ago

Distance is the main cause of lag, but crappy upload rates, throttling and other nuances contribute to terrible lag, from what I've seen. :(

blahblah4820d ago

actually, true to some extent. when i was explaining this to friend from australia, he tested his network. he couldn't get decent connection with server that was 100km away. even more problematic was network jitter for him. yea, i kinda forgot i get really decent network here, while some world parts don't

crappy upload rates aren't. even minimal connection has more than enough upload to cover the game needs.

when i tested this for me, crappiest connection with any eu server was 61ms.

NaiNaiNai4821d ago

you know some simple regedit, and a bit of network modification can lower your ping *aka lag*

by anywhere from 50-400 ping.

You should really look it up. but keep in mind it slows your internet speed and makes stability bad.

you could also check with your isp and see if they can disable interleaving.

Remnant 2: The Forgotten Kingdom Review - The Standard Bar of DLCs - The Koalition

Joe LaRue of The Koalition writes: Developed by Gunfire Games and published by Arc Games, Remnant 2 released its DLC titled The Forgotten Kingdom for $9.99 which is a steal. This DLC should be the standard bar of all DLCs for the price and what you get. Amidst the eerie remnants of Yaesha’s once majestic ziggurats, now haunted by the echoes of untold stories and revenge, players will follow intricately designed murals, uncover secrets and clues, and watch the pieces slowly come together.

V Rising Review - Bloodsucking Brilliance - The Koalition

Joe LaRue of The Koalition writes: Stunlock Studios’ V Rising is a MOBA-esque survival game that differs from the normal path of others. You play as a newly awakened vampire on PVE, PVP, or private servers, and are determined to become the most powerful bloodsucker. Many other survival games have you follow the same pattern: punch trees, build a workbench, make tools, dig rocks, and build a wall.
